This was absolutely beautiful, and the sound design was great!
The one thing that discouraged me was how fast Sarah undoes my work- she moves about three times as fast, doesn't slow down like the player does when toggling a candle, and knows exactly where to find each one. It was pretty disheartening to see my candle count tick down as she cleared the floor beneath me, haha...
BUT- I did finish the game. I'm definitely following your work now, I can't wait to see what you make next!
I'm so glad you liked the game! I'm not sure we'll be releasing full-fledged projects anytime soon. But you'll be able to see tech demos of future games!
Loved the idea, very beautiful interpretation of the theme!!
I really like the visuals and atmosphere
I absolutely adore this, I love the style, I love the music, I love the mystery. Sarah is an absolute menace though!
Very dense atmosphere. Really good presentation!
Атмосфера очень понравилась! А Сара нет
Thanks for the comment! Yes, Sarah can be a bit annoying.
really nice atmosphere! idk why but i kept expecting a scary plot twist, glad it didn't happen c:
i could not find the library. and same issue as other games that i've been trying to play with my laptop: most laptops disable the trackpad while you're using the keyboard, so you can't move the mouse while walking which makes it a bit harder to blow the candles.
loved sarah's design, wish she gave a hint or two about the locations. i found the library key but i wasn't able to find the library :/
Thanks for the feedback! The library is on the third floor on the right, which also needs a key behind the door.
The atmosphere wasn't originally designed to be horror, but I think it added an unusual touch to the experience!
The atmosphere is great. but isn't 1000 candles too much?
Maybe you found a bug, but there are ~35 candles in the game, not 1000. Are you speaking figuratively? Anyway, thanks for the feedback!
Eh.... Mine shows 1135 candles.... that's overwhelming hahah
Haha, that's funny. It looks like a goal for a 10-hour gameplay :D
The game is very well made. I love the atmosphere, music, and the art. (Sarah was a little annoying tho). Overall, I like the game. It's sad, similar to the game I made(Mine is a bad end kind of thing lol). The ending is awesome.
This is my first work with such a pronounced plot. Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks!
Nicely done, even when Sarah is a bit creepy running around like that. :D
The game wasn't meant to be a horror game, but I agree - Sarah sometimes looks scary. Thanks for playing!
The mechanics are very well implemented, great job!
Thanks!
love the dark undertones in this game and the message great job played with my gf she liked it too sound was nice her saying oh! was cute
Thanks! This review is so cute! I think the game gives you a lot to think about.
It does your use of the mystery was very well done mystery is a powerful emotion and the subject is great I wasn't going to include this in my previous message but she was previously married so I think it struck a special note with her great job
Very moody, I like the art and the premise. Cool interpretation of the left in the dark limitation!
Thanks! I've been thinking about the idea for a long time, and I'm glad you like it!
The style and music are top-notch! Very atmospheric!
Thanks! Everything for you
Cool art style and theme!
Thanks! I worked hard to make it look beautiful.
Great art style and immersive atmosphere. The pace is too slow for me, but that’s a personal taste. Nice use of lights and the limitation. Great entry!
Thanks! I tried to make it a atmospheric, pleasant adventure.
I rly love he idea a lot. Its suh a nice implementation of the limitation. Sarah is so frustrating tho, just let me blow out the candles god damn it! XD
Everyone agrees that she is unwittingly annoying. But she's not doing it out of spite)
Anyway, thanks for the comment!
Looks so cool !!! Crushed it y'all
Thanks for the warm feedback!
This is very cool. What an awesome atmosphere. Nice job!
Thanks! I'm glad that people like my games, not just me :D
