What a wonderful game! Insane amount of polish, the sound and the camera movement especially felt so good. Was thoroughly stumped by the puzzles at the end, but very rewarding end with a surprising amount of emotion.

Extremely impressive stuff.

I love you soundtrack. This make this game feel like fever dream.

Really nice presentation and satisfying to play. I'm not very good at the game unfortunately - it might be mac weirdness but I couldnt seem to back up from a particular direction, so I had to restart the game a few times and didn't manage to get very far. But lovely concept and visuals!

A creative use of typing and the character grid!

I especially love the way levels are presented and how responsive and seamless all of it is.

My only gripe with the design is that it is very undo heavy thanks to relying a lot on finishing the commands at the right point and counting where words will end up or if they fit at all, which is not really an interesting aspect of the game I think.

While it might take away from the simplicity a bit, I’d like to see how an autocomplete-like feature would work like that would print (with a faded color) the started keyword ahead of you so you wouldn’t have to type it out or count cells before typing to realize it won’t fit or if you’ll finish the word too early. So you type l and it shows eft ahead of you and so on. Maybe you could use tab to complete but the main point is the preview itself, not the completion.

Anyways, great entry that could definitely be expanded with more mechanics and levels!

Pretty fun! Like others, I got stuck at the same place and finally resorted to the playthrough video. Duh!

Very good at spelling out the rules, telling a story (I didn't finish, though), and nice performance on the web. I realize I took off my headphones while taking a break -- I bet I missed some good stuff past that sticking point.

This was waaay more fun than I initially anticipated, what a storytelling! did not get past FIND PATH but that’s ok

I very much enjoyed this! I was at first intimidated that somehow I wasn't a programmer that i couldn't play it, i didn't realize just endlessly typing would be the answer. Wonderfully challenging. :)

Excellent idea and execution. I’m not a big puzzle gamer myself, so I didn’t get far in, but that’s hardly your fault :) I bet that puzzle-aficionados will love this!

Left me feeling stupid and frustrated. Staring at a screen for a long time and just not getting it. Not for me I guess.

Really cool idea and great execution! It was very satisfying to figure out the deleting mechanic after some trial an error. I was secretly hoping that commands could be built from pre-existing white text with grey text gaps or spaces in between. I was wondering if there would be some puzzles like this where you needed to use pre-written letters in the opposite direction of your cursor, for example:

   l#
   e#
   f#
   t#
<nwo# d

would work as "down", say if "#" was grey and "d" was white text.

Amazing game. Would love to play a longer version with more complex puzzles

I wanted to design something around that concept. In fact, the last puzzle is laid out in a way so you could technically type out "right" in reverse for later use. However, major obstacle in this idea is that, whenever your cursor is ready to execute such word, you can just delete letters and type them again any way you like. For the future iteration, I thought it would be interesting to have pre-made letters you cannot remove but you can execute (like yellow text at the very end). Your idea with ignoring blank spaces and gray characters is interesting as well, although I think it could get confusing. I'll write it down for the future!

Very satisfying. Kudos

A simple and pretty idea. Just wish ctrl+z would take you back a word, like up/right, and not the whole level

Fantastic, I tried to cheese the ending after finding a secret, but couldn’t get it to work. Managed too see past the walls of @@@@@@@@@@ by abusing the camera smoothing and ctrl+z

The puzzle design in this is next-level, the music sets a great vibe, and the "environment" (ascii art, writing, and so on) was done really tastefully. Really a great submission, great work!

truly excellent little puzzle game, i got super stumped and then felt like an absolute genius when i figured it out in each puzzle hahaha. such a great idea!

Fun puzzles, and both the audio and visuals make it super immersive. It took me a while to figure out that ctrl+z is actually ctrl+y on my qwertz keyboard, but I don't blame you for that (bevy desparately needs a keyboard localization thing)

OH so that's it 🤦‍♂️

Well I blame them for it! 'Cause using the KeyCode on a shortcut, especially such a well-known one is heresy and should be illegal

Very cool came idea, really cool use of simple assets to make a compelling experience. Also definitely well suited for your audience of other bevy devs haha
