Super slick. Getting those last second dodges was nice to chain in in a lucky spot. Nice game you made!

Loved this! Getting ‘Slick!’ when dodging at the very last moment, the sounds tied to directions let you play simple melodies, the obstacles colliding, the character looking to the right direction when moving, the color scheme - everything is slick and nice. I found this really fun to play. 24 is my top score for now, I wonder what’s next.

I noticed that the slick counter doesn’t reset when you start the new game, was that intended like some meta-progression? It would be cool to use the slick points as the currency in between the runs, maybe for the cosmetics.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yes, that was exactly my intention. I really wanted to add a shop where you could use those points, and cosmetics would definitely be one of them as you suggested. Thank you for the feedback!

I didn't know what to expect at first, but wow, did you implement some cool mechanics!

The minimalistic look and sound effects go well together, I like that

What surprised me the most is that the obstacles can collide, causing them to go another direction

But the best part about this game is definitely dodging at the last moment, which feels very slick, nets you slickness and you enter a slow motion state for a second

Very good job!

Fun little mechanic! Great sound effects! Those corner blocks slowing growing after each level is a nice touch, too!

The slick mechanic allowed me to practice something interesting while sucking at beating the actual levels.

Some feedback:  Whenever it says "slick", it feels out of place with the rest of the sounds and aesthetic.

I don’t agree about the ‘slick’ sound, to me it was a nice touch but to each their own

Nice game! Simple, but well executed.

Love the atari feel of this game. The graphics remind me of asteroids which is really cool. Gameplay, while simple, was super addictive. The snappiness of losing and jumping right back in felt really good. Overall, solid game!

Simple game but very addictive! The different ways the projectiles move and interact with each other added a rage game element which I found very fun to navigate. You've done a lot with a simple concept! Cool game!

Nice little dodging game, the reflex based slickness score was a nice mechanic. Great job! :D

Cool game with great visuals and sound design, plays like a push-your-luck reaction time test - it would be cool if you got even more slick points for waiting till the very last second to dodge

This is great, I love the way the blocks interact with each other. I got up to 65 dodges, is there more to reveal after that?

Developer

Thanks! No, not after 65. I'm planning to add different environments after the player reaches certain amount of dodges to keep the gameplay fresh.

What a great jam game! The sound design was very well done and satisfying. I liked the attention to detail and the polish with the blocks reflecting off each other and the faces changing as it gets more difficult.

the bouncing of blocks together caught me off guard in a good way. Very polished feel! keep up the good work friend

I like the way you kept it minimalistic like pong but really added your unique twist on it. I found it fun to farm slickness points with the same blocks altough that created some unfortunate deaths for me aswell haha. Would have like some music aswell altough letting the blocks spawn sound create the music is also a cool idea what you did.

You kept it simple and it allowed you to work on keeping things interesting and fun.

This was awesome.

It felt like a slick game and it also did a thing I wanted to do which was have someone say Slick when you beat a level. I never got around to it though lol.

I love the minimalist designs.

The coolest part is when you realize the blocks bounce off each other in different ways. Added a lot to it.

really cool concept, i love the vibes and the sound is cool too!
