Fun game, but I wasn't quite sure what to do when I ran out of butter in my tank, still buttered three slices of toast for the butter god! Fun music cool art, and slick controls. Nice work!
Very clever and creative. The mechanics were very satisfying - especially the lower friction on the buttered areas.

The Splatoon that Nintendo was too afraid to make…but in all seriousness, everything from the weapon types to the “butter rain” to the enemies reminded me of Splatoon, in a good way!

I like this ! guns feel super satisfying and squishy and this is a super original take on the theme. it lagged a big for me but overall well done :)

Crusts for the crust throne! Incredible concept, TOAST BUTTERED got an audible laugh from me. Music absolutely slaps and I like the subtle visual details in the butter. Very nice

very fun concept and the mishmash of spooky + butter + breakbeats unexpectedly slapped! tutorial was very well done and i felt like i came away from each run with a new strategy for the next run. well done!
Thanks! I was working all week while the jam was happening so things really only came together on those last two days. I'm glad to hear people find even a little bit of depth in the gameplay! :D
I like the mixture of the splatoon inking and a singleplayer top-down game, and I also really like the detail of the butter lining up with the pixels of the bread. Scrumptious detail!
Best part about that was it was a happy accident. When i first imported and stretched the butter sprite I was pleasantly surprised that the pixels lined up, lol. Thanks for playing!
