This is so cool, I love it so much! The people that made this must be the super coolest (in my opinion!)
Multiple lines of dialogue for the CCTV!?!? Delightful. Charming and funny, loved vomiting as well.
The amount of quality voice acting is unbelievable.
Sadly I got black screen on the level after The Library, but otherwise it was really fun.
Okay, so I didn't know much going into this. I secretly was playing your itch builds when they first popped up to see how you handled web stuff & gauging performance, so i saw the Jans and a little tower and a small door I couldn't quite fit through, and that was about it. I'm pretty amazed how you managed to turn this into a pretty compelling little narrative experience. Based on what I saw in discord, there's still a few things I missed so I need to give it another go >:)
first off the way you introduced the eating mechanic was hilarious and got me completely off guard. VA was on point. LLManager gotta be my favorite performance. i think a couple others said this feels a bit "more" than you get with the usual jam when it comes to scope and execution, and I completely agree. i dont even know how you managed to all coordinate yourselves so effectively in the first place. perhaps Dave's commune is the friends you made along the way?
Incredibly fun game! Fed the CENSORED. The amount of dialogue work and scripting makes my head hurts. Not perfect but well above the average gamejam game. Great work folks.
Also - loved the original voiceover
F__K glorpo LLManager
Vast amounts of content and systems for a jam. Just coordinating such a big team must have been tough in itself!
The dialogues were funny, but by the end I did wanted to just stop talking to people for a bit so I wandered into a mouth while being spaced out on the field without having a chance to interact with the commune members, but I guess that was a fitting come down for this game.
The interface text could be a tiny bit bigger I think.
The stomach GUI definitely steals the show, this could be a game on its own, like an all-you-can-eat buffet survival game or something.
Great job!
Pretty good overall and very amusing! Unfortunately I could not "find out what this place is about" since I fell off the edge of the world after consuming too much fungus. Oh well. The game has a nice mixture of simple gameplay, effectively reused assets, a nice stomach-cam, and just a tinge of resentment about corporate software development life in 2026. I noticed the Disco Elysium references, believe you me!
Some tech notes: it seems that Space/Left Click/E are all mapped to the same thing, so I found myself jumping during conversations, or cutting conversations short while jumping. But it helped reallocate my gastric contents, so I guess it's all good.
The Space/Left Click/E mapping was noticed by me and quietly not noted as it added a bit of comedy to the dialogue :p
Besides the lag on the last level... WOW this doesn't feel like a game jam game in the best way possible. It feels like a whole tiny indie game/self contained expirience.
It had me chuckling with the inventory and made me think a lil about the state of the world.
Inventory system got a chuckle out of me. Game crashed twice though. Did manage to complete eventually.
I loved the conversations with the employees because it made me imagine a future world where people complain about their “managers”! I couldn't stop collecting more and more mushrooms by the end, lol.
I can crash the game by spamming the bzzt at the beginning, hard crash, closes out of my browser tab immediately. Actually I found that i crashed pretty much garuanteed after a certain number of interactions, even spam clicking the doors. Probably my machine disagreeing with your shaders.
INCREDIBLE atmosphere, the ever-mentioned inventory system, the sound, the voice acting. Very funny, very well done.
Super cool game. Thank you for making it.
Absolutely unhinged game in so many ways and definitely the most "extremely incohesive feverdream" game of the jam imo. Really loved all the voice acting and "inventory system" though I do wish the latter were used more. Great work y'all!
Thank you! Yeah I had a ton of fun doing a lot of the voice acting, one of the highlights for sure :)
Agreed that the "inventory" could've been used more; we originally had a lot of ideas for it (this was supposed to be a Cruelty Squad -like fast-paced FPS shooter where you eat and vomit things, use them as projectiles, get various unhinged status effects while maintaining fever levels etc.) but due to time constraints we pivoted to a more narrative-driven experience, and the gameplay elements weren't quite as fleshed out. Still, I think it worked out pretty well in the end!
Amazing game for a jam!
Innovative inventory system
This is so peak bro
Unfortunately very laggy on my machine (AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics) which strongly impeded playability, but somehow also fit the vibe of the game a bit. The anarcho-syndicalist commune was already borderless unplayable, but then I ate a shroom and that was the straw. I could no longer tell if my clicks were registering at all, so I didn't know if I could speak to any of the NPCs. I tried changing my settings and clicked on the main menu. That was an unrecoverable mistake. I gave up after that, but that was already over 40min of play time.
So congrats on a genuinely fun game! It's complete non-sense, yet is somehow grounded on a real critique of our corporate overlords
Incredibly cool game for a jam :)
Sadly I got stuck in the library, after gazing upon all of the bookshelfs knowledge, I found no way to "Consume the equipment" and proceed.
I had to step forward for the "equipment" to become interactible
Where forward? I ran and jumped through the scene for 5minutes, spamming everywhere I could without success
Ah. A security cam is supposed to fall from the sky when you ask how to diagnose the fever
I think I picked the alternative dialogue option and the fever thing didn't come up again.
