the character controller on this is great! i almost fell off the edge trying to jump-turn-shoot to kill the hat guy but i got them eventually :D

Those mushrooms pack a punch. I try to fight them at point blank since they move from player to throw projectile from range
Simple yet unexpected!
Making the bullets stand out more from the background would be nice.
It might be a good idea to have the boss hurt you if you fly into it to make it a bit harder to cheese this part.

Different background color would be great indeed, didn't really think about it during development.
The boss change would also be a good and simple solution as well.

nice first game! controller feels nice. i wasn't sure i could shoot by clicking at first but figured it out my second play.
Tried to spare the mushrooms because they looked friendly. Got stabbed in the back. Heck!

Might be the best game in the jam. A little screen shake and I think you’d get a 5 for visuals.
I enjoyed this very much, killed the final boss no problem.
Seriously though I thought the goose was easy to control, felt good. Very funny plot twist with the gun. Keep it up
