Nailed the theme and I really enjoyed learning what good prices were for each item as I played along it makes you feel like an actual trader. I think it is really difficult at the start (maybe you need slightly more money so if you make a mistake you don't have to restart) but really gets going once you can buy two items. Amazing job for only 3 hours!

Also wanted to say well done on a nice looking page with the matching colours, not a lot of people do that but it's a nice touch!

Thank you for playing and for your kind comment!

Yes, it needs a little more playtesting to make the game more readable and accessible, but that's the risk of trijam, I guess.
I admit that I love having a slightly polished game page so as not to take the player out of the game and to give it a little extra identity, thank you.

This is honest: I see a LOT of potential here. I don't mind the graphics being how they are, so no offense, they look exactly like a 3-hour prototype SHOULD look- but if it you got some beautiful scenery in there with interesting/pretty things to look at? You have a great idea. Sometimes I really like a game where you can totally space out for 15-30  seconds sometimes.

Like others said, it was a tragedy on the first run, but the 2nd run I understood what was going on.

Great start. Perfect rating for THEME

Thank you so much for playing and for your lovely comment!

I must admit, it comforts me a little and motivates me to do more trijam!
Yes, I find the concept interesting and there's more to explore. For example, adding more background scenery with events, music, weather, atmosphere, and even a little story (but then I'd have to redo everything, as I've hard-coded some features too much to improve it).

Once again, thank you for playing.

I can't buy anything from any of the merchants :( I'm too broke apparently. But I like the idea and it feels quite relaxing to play!

Thanks for the feedback and playing!

Darn, I played it a little bit and didn't think the game was that complicated or random! If you want to try again, the best thing to do is find torches for sale for less than 20 coins to get started!

Great game concept I had something similar in mind but had to cut it down due to time.

My first loop I though (this shopkeeper must be crazy if he thinks I'm gonna buy two identical water bottles for different prices), so I didn't and the prices kept hiking and I could never financially recover.

My second play tho, lemme tell you, I'm what they call diamond hand cause I kept my bottles for 3 shops and sold it at 25 & by the time I had 30 shops I had 85 bucks.

Please nerf the gorilla shoper he tried to sell me red balls for 60 when it's clearly a 50 max purchase :P

Thanks for playing!

Yes, I get the impression that several of us imagined the same gameplay loop.

Hahaha, yes, travelers can be tough negotiators, especially at the beginning. (I'll make a note about the “gorilla shopper”!)

Ok this game fits the theme well.

However at the start I could not buy anything form the first 10 trades as I only had 30 gold.

Once you get going its ok but a little slow between trades.

I got to 100 gold before giving up. Think it just needed a better balance but for 3 hours it works okay.

Love the concept and wish you had longer to work on it đź’š

Thanks for playing!

Yes, there is clearly a lack of difficulty progression, so that the first transactions are mandatory purchases and gradually become more and more expensive. Maybe a future update?
