My team’s getting closed to finished and I think it’s looking good so far! Can’t wait to play everyone else’s games!

Submitted

Doesnt the game jame start in 3 days?

It already started; the last day to submit it is sunday.

Submitted

I waited, thinking that this was a call for applications for participation.

The submission period ends in three days! The jam started this past Sunday

You still have time to make something small!

Submitted

im close to finishing the core parts of my game but im not confident that i will have the time to finish it by sunday...

Submitted(+1)

Keep going! Even if it’s not finished by that time, you can still submit what you have!

Submitted

thx

Submitted

Started out strong, but now I'm thinking I spent too much time on effects and won't be able to finish the core mechanics :(

Submitted(+1)

There’s still a few more days left! Having something to submit is better than nothing, and at least your game wI’ll have good effects! :)

I feel behind

Submitted

That’s okay, there’s still a few days left! Game development is hard, so whatever you end up will still be impressive!

Thanks very much

submitted one level finished the game them my laptop deleted everything sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo its just this im so unhappy i should have saved it on github or smth

Submitted

Oh no! I’m so sorry! If you put your game on itch.io, there’s a way to redownload the files!! Go edit your game in your dashboard, find the upload, click “more”, then click “download”.

Yeah tried it but since it's only a web export it's not  possible to work on it again

Submitted

Very good. Spent the first day on design and switched it up a couple of times. It's my first game so I went for a mystery text adventure. I spent most of the week writing and polishing the script, while at the same time actually building the game.

We're close to finishing, we are only missing some art asses (graphics and music) and will do a lot of playtest.

Submitted

That’s great! My team is also making a story-heavy game! Good luck!

Do you some screenshots?

Submitted

One from the beginning of our game :)

That's cool

Submitted

Thanks!

Submitted

Gameplay-wise, my game's going good. The same can't be said about the art side though.

Submitted

A game can still be good even with poor art! As long as it’s fun, you’re good :)

Submitted

Mine’s a level based platformer and i hadn’t even made a single level yet, plus my PC is always being used all of a sudden so I might be cooked lol.

Submitted

Oh no! You still have some time  to make some more progress!

Submitted

Just about to submit mine because I wont' have any time to work on it for the rest of the jam unfortunately. I wish I could add some more polish, but I feel pretty good about it overall. It's also my first jam, so this has been very exciting!

Submitted

Good job submitting a game to your first jam! Thats no easy feat!

Submitted

Thank you!

I think it’s pretty neat, now I’m fixing up the web version so that mobile controls aren’t so janky! lol, coded until 3am last night to get the web export looking good but I haven’t fixed mobile controls yet 🤣

Submitted

Great! Yeah, I know the pains of coding late at night, lol. Good luck!

Submitted

thanks dude!

It's going to be a mad crunch to finish, but I'm optimistic. I went a little too complicated on the enemy animations, they'll look good but It's gonna run me to the bone.  Solo artist and dev moment.

Submitted

Oh I feel you as a solo dev. It’s brutal having to try and not get too polished on anything hoping I’ll have time for a second or third pass knowing it will be down to the very wire 😩 keen to see how your game turns out!

Submitted

I know how you feel! All my previous games were done solo and it was HARD.  Keep pushing until the very end :)

Me too, I had to change a good chunck of aspects from my game. Iv only been using godot for a 1-2 months, and game jams really hit you with a reality check on scope.

Submitted

my game’s already done, i’m now thinking about what else could i possibly add lol. right now i’m playing other people’s entries i guess :D

Submitted

looks great! Maybe export a mac version so I can play haha 😅

Submitted

dude it is exported already i just hid it cus idk if it’s actually playable or not, i’ll public it rn and u tell me if it works or not ok :)

Submitted

sure 👍

Submitted

No dice. It isn’t in a file format recognized by Mac. Basically just got a text file.

Submitted

yeah it doesn’t export correctly, i guess i’ll just keep the windows and the browser build so you can play from the browser, thanks for trying <3

Submitted

no worries! Browser build should work fine 😊

Submitted(+1)

It’s fine to be already done! Less stress for you lol

Submitted

I love how my game turned out to look but I don't like the gameplay at all it's not interesting and repetitive:( I wish I got more ambitious with it. It was my first "finished" game though so it's quite the achievement :)

Looking forward to play everyone's games as well!

Submitted

Good job completing your game! Thats an accomplishment in and of itself! Getting critique will help you know what to do better next time

Submitted

I played your game u made me do job ihy

Submitted

I am quite happy. It was my first time completing a Jam solo and the result is a safe, but overall well rounded submission, I would take it anytime :D

Submitted(+1)

Great job!

Submitted

We are finally merging all pieces together we still have a lot of polish to do but we finally have our full flow, with economy/autobattler with a bit of roguelite

Submitted

Sounds cool!!

Submitted(+1)

How I'm feeling is, I like making games. I'm not very good at the art or the music and the less said about the gameplay the better, but I like making games!

Submitted

Hey, as long as you like making games, there really is no losing

Submitted

I am pretty happy where things are netting out, I think. Really this was more of a forced creative session and to test out a couple new ideas. Looking forward to testing everyone's games too!

Submitted

I just submitted my game. I think that this is my best game jam game I made and I am very happy about it. I almost couldn't submit it because somehow the level transition logic didn't work when I exported the game.

Submitted

Good job submitting!

Submitted

Not really sure if I should have made some assets myself. Got pretty much all of them from some assets site (with proper licensing). Probably makes the artdesign look all over the place. But I am very happy with game loop (pretty much "exit 8" in a lighthouse)! So I hope gameplay and ambience make up for lacking art

Submitted

Ooh, nice! I love exit 8! As long as the game loop is fun, then it’s a good game :)
