How does your game represent "Slick"?
There's a mechanic for slowing down time. It looks cool when the boss attacks you and with the particles flying in slowmo through the air.
The boss puzzle's solution is supposed to make the player say 'slick'.

This honestly had a real cool use of the slow time mechanic and executed it well with good challenges! It felt like playing dark souls at some moment aha an option to control camera with mouse or something would be dope but otherwise very cool man and i love the character model!
Thanks for the recommendation and checking out the VOD!

Ahh, give player option to move/rotate camera around (those are most free-high gain effects to give game motion).
This Q shader is very very good.
Movement is slow (to me gives feeling I have low/mid control of the character)
Transitions are slow/wooden (interpolations/tweens).
Interesting story -end of humanity
Thanks for playing. The mostly fiixed camera is a design choice, same as player speed. I only want to work on the execution.
wow. the slow time mechanic is awesome.!
it looks and feels great. would love to see a fully fleshed out version of this! I'd buy it.
playing as the clock only adds to the slickness.
5/5/5/5.
Thanks a lot!
I enjoyed the time-slow mechanics and the surreal atmosphere. The movement felt a bit clunky, but that was my only issue. Nice work!
Hey what engine did you use? i love the aesthetics, it reminds me of clive barker undying :)
Thank you. I used Godot but I'm sure you can achieve this look in any 3d engine.
I think the aesthetic you describe is the result of the texture compression I had to apply to the models (to keep file size down) and also that the level architecture (walls & ground) is really low poly and flat in my game.
for sure. it just felt like the default look of coppercube :)
This was a really cool idea! Using the boss against itself reminded me of a lot of Shadow of the Colossus, very slick!
Awesome little game, impressive art direction for a jam game! I think camera controls could've helped with the 3d platforming. Great job!
The game over messages bring me back to the Dark Souls 1 days, like the mod that replaced the You Died text with Thanks Obama.
