Playability:
Great little platformer with dynamic environments and screen wide effects to avoid. Easy to understand and fun to play. Felt like a level in a platformer on the way to the final boss. Very polished and responsive.

Theme:
Fit the theme reasonably well as the entire environment is watching you and fighting against you.

Cleverness:
Overall unique take and unlike anything else in the jam. Nice work.

Artistic Style:
Consistent and unique artistic style. Loved the overall style on this.

I'm not sure if it was a browser difference, but with Firefox at least, jumping did not provide enough height to get out of the starting pit.  Then I just eventually die to a horizontal tentacle. Other than that, graphics and audio worked fine, as did menus.

That's odd to hear. I also use Firefox and I've not had any issues. Are you just tapping to jump, or are you holding? Jump height changes based on how long you hold it. (This is assuming you've talking about the very beginning of the game. If you're referring to a different part of the game, it may be another issue.)

Oh, I see. I was using the arrow keys, though up arrow does not appear to change jump height by holding it down like spacebar does.

After playing it, I think it was well done.  The mechanics at the end were interesting too. I did find one spot I kept falling back past the previous checkpoint where there wasn't a barrier.  Cool game!

How does this have no comments? I feel like I've discovered a hidden gem here. This felt fantastic to play! The forecasting of attacks, smoothness of platforming, game juice in the camera and character movement, etc. – all felt really great. The soundtrack is a vibe, too. Is that an original composition? It's giving C418 in a really nostalgic way.
