Honest Feedback needed– Flappy Devil (Free + game page)

Hi everyone! 👋

I’d love to hear your honest thoughts on Flappy Devil — especially if you’ve played the free version and checked out the itch.io page (design, clarity, presentation).

Flappy Devil page: https://noobsgames.itch.io/flappy-devil

What I’m looking for feedback on:

🟡 Gameplay Feel

  • Does the flap mechanic feel responsive?

  • Is the difficulty fair or frustrating?

  • Does the level spacing make sense?

  • Is it fun to come back for “just one more try”?

🟡 itch.io Page Impressions

  • Is the description clear?

  • Do the screenshots and tags convey the game well?

  • Anything you’d change to make the page more appealing?

Thanks in advance for your honest thoughts — even tough critiques help me make the game stronger! 🙏🔥

Best Regards,

Michael, AKA Noob's Games

for the game feel i feel this is pretty good man!! the input feels responsive and instant, and it feels fair I lost level 2 because i lost focus hahaha maybe some type of mechanic that keeps you focused on the game? like power up or some type of progress between games (maybe). and for the itch io it looks pretty professional!!

Thanks for your honest feedback and very kind words. For that specific reason - keeping player focus - I added in-game store with skins (you can change your devil) + inside main game loop you have randomly spawned coins to collect but this features are available inside PC and Android versions.  Power ups? hmmm ... 🤔 - this is totally worth writing down. When I red your reply I already had 2 ideas around it in my head 😁, so I need to prototype them and test it!

Thank you again :)

Thank you for such a kind words! I didn't expected that positive feedback 😁 Storyline and better animations - okay -  I written it down to my TODO list ✅️

Storyline is something I would like to add next to in-game store with skins.

Thank you again for feedback 😊

Hey, I played your game for a bit!

Like others are saying here, it feels very nice to play, the movement feels responsive. The difficulty also feels fair and increases fast enough to keep me interested. So overall the game is very good!!

I do have some suggestions for maybe in the future, I think in general increasing the difficulty without just increasing the speed would keep the game more interesting. Instead of the game getting faster and faster, you could for example add moving gaps that you have to fly through, or add multiple gaps so the player feels like they need to make a choice. I think this would help keep the game interesting.

Another suggestion I have is to have a leaderboard, it would be awesome to see how my score (I got 34) compares to other players. Adding a leaderboard can be a little difficult, but there are itch.io tools that make it a lot easier (I for example have used this https://danqzq.itch.io/leaderboard-creator).

Overall its a very fun game you have! Good luck :D

Thank you for your very positive feedback!

I think to add story mode with levels you can actually complete 😉 + downloadable version (PC, Android) contains in game skins store and you can collect coins to exchange them for a skin later and change devil's look 😊

Sure - leaderboard will be a game changer in case of player engagement. Thank you also for tool you linked - I must check it out! 😊

🟡 Gameplay Feel

The flap feels responsive. I can't describe it, but the sound of is a bit uneasy on my ears.

The difficulty is definitely not frustrating for me, I scored 56 on my first try. Due to this long playtime for a round, I had less desire for 'one more try'.

You increase the difficulty by speeding up. I'd look into other options too, like moving obstacles for example.

🟡 itch.io Page Impressions

I would just start with the game's description on your page (maybe make this specific text bigger), without the title 'Description'. Also I'd reserve all-caps font for titles, not for longer text.

Your links are in red color, on red background. That's difficult to read. How would white look?

Hi! Thank you very mych for your honest review of the gameplay and game page. Sure - game loop can be improved and I written down your suggestions to my Notion List (same with game page suggestions). I'll correct game page as soon as I can :)

About gameplay also I think to add some storyline mode and more skins inside downloadable version - right now it contains in game store with skins.

Thanks again - right now I know in what direction I should go :)
