How does the game fit the theme?
Wonderland is a strange place, even stranger when you tell the story wrong :P
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Snippets of code was repurposed from old projects and SFX samples are part of a personal sound library.
How many people worked on the game?3

Yo what a wild entry, deadass. This was actually wild, but super fun! I felt like flipping the whole plot of Alice in Wonderland on its head was hilarious lmao. The only change I'd make though, is make the enemy bullets more visible and also make them much slower than the players. When I worked on bullet hell-ish projects in the past, I made the same mistake of not tweaking those two variables; the truth is, most bullet hell games make those changes so the player can feel like the fight is more fair. Overall great work though! Good luck with the jam!
That's super cool. Super cohesive. Like the narration, the different scene, the sound design, the visual feedback ect, really, congrats !
Feel free to test our game !
Nice game!
it fit the theme really well, and the story was great!
I do think adding shadows to the background sprites would have made the game look better, but that's just a minor nitpick.
Good job!
Wow! This is incredible! The gun is quite critical to the plot! I enjoyed every second of it! It’s one of the best entries I’ve played so far!
See you in the top 10! INCREDIBLE WORK!
Edit: I love that you can reload by throwing the gun, like in Borderlands!
Edit 2: ALL OF US ALL OF US ALL OF US ALL OF US
There were a lot of nice touches on this game. The transitions and story, the humour, and I thought the music change for the boss fight at the end was a nice touch. I did find it a little annoying that to navigate through some areas there were invisible boundaries rather than having a physical object there. But overall, I had fun.
ALL OF US
had lots of fun with this game! Amazing audio really made the place feel real, the writing was fantastic and the art was great! Replayed it as I missed some content the first time around cause I immediately went for the tarts lol
Had lots of fun so great job everyone!!
Incredible game! Especially considering it was for a jam. Great humor, good combat, great pacing, and a fantastic twist
This was really hard but very interesting so I made it to the end. Very good take on Alice in Wonderlands hahah. I love the art and little details in animations. Shootings is fun, story is goofy and interesting, overall nice game :)
It's weird, ridiculous, and funny; never thought you could interpret Alice in this way
dark souls ahh difficulty lol
From the developer of Risk Factor in last jam, I couldn't be more satisfied with this game, incredibly fun! The combat is as polished as Risk Factor was, and the visuals are really cool, top tier pixel art work, and the story is really fun! Really cool experience to play this game until the end, congrats!
Love the concept, really fun game!
What a cute gam- She has a gun!
I guess that's why Alice in the wonderland is set in England not the US. Well, at least the whole game is fun! I did encounter a few game-breaking bugs that I basically need to restart, i.e. Alice got stuck after defeating Mary Ann, and the whole screen turns red (and never changes back) at the caterpillar. Finally got to the end on the third playthrough. The art is nice, and the difficulty was just right, though it gets a bit heated during the mad hatter fight. Overall, it's a super enjoyable game!
Other things I like:
Suggestions:
I'm pretty sure the screen turning red is a problem with WebGL and not specifically anything I did. The shotgun actually is fairly powerful to be fair, with the only caveat that you have to actually switch to it. The bat was kind of just there because we wanted something to push the story, but I agree that I could have buffed it, I don't know give it higher movement speed or smth. When it comes to skipping text, well it's kind of possible with the current setup minus the first cutscene if you spam Dialog Forward, since it fills the text box and then goes to the next, but a full skip button would have required more work because of how the dialog events are programed. But anyways, thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed the game either way.
What describes this game the most:
*When DooM music kicks in*
Yeah, honestly believe me. You just and shoot random peoples, no matter what. Great game
cheers, silent Comet
The game was extremely fun! Maybe Im a creep too for killing all this guys...
Wouldn't even have noticed it was a jam game.
The artstyle is really good and it's funny how a 7 year old has guns... and the chill music contributes to the silliness, good job!
Really fun game. I didn't expect it to be as long as it was, which is really impressive for something done during a game jam. The three weapons were each fun and unique, but I didn't really use the bat too much. Nice game!
i got 156 people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn this game was a lot bigger than I expected. And I enjoyed every moment of it!
I really like that the game had both strong gameplay and a story, plus the gun throwing and kick was cool with nice animations. Sadly, the game bugged out for me, so I could not progress beyond the fall.
Could you tell me what exactly the bug was? I'd love to fix it if it prevented you from playing.
As soon as I passed the falling section, the game faded to black and froze
That's strange, I can't quite find anything that could even cause that and I haven't seen anything like that in play tests. So sadly I don't think I'll be able to fix it. Either way it is a shame, hopefully it won't happen to anyone else and at some point you might return to give it another shot.
