I had fun playing this, the atmosphere kept me Intrigued and I was curious to explore this little world :) would have loved to see some audio to enhance the mood, but I still enjoyed it!

Developer

Thanks! I would have loved to do some audio but unfortunately ive ran out of time

Cool game. I managed to walk around checking everything over and over again and with my luck avoided the pot that had the key. Pretty sure I check everything at least once before opening the correct one lol

Developer

LOL, thanks for playing!

Interesting game with a great story. Feels like a tragic ending/begining to a horror movie

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Interesting game, and the art looks nice. When I picked up the hammer, the key got dropped and lined up perfectly with the cardboard outline. I didn't realize it at first and only noticed after I couldn't open the door :D Also, I saw some error logs in the web console (Firefox)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Can you comment the error logs? As for the key, it may be the hitboxes clashing with the others, i pretty sure when you still pick up the key even though it aligned perfectly with the cardboard outline, you can still pick it back up when you align the key with the character's mouth area (idk why but in my experience it works), anyways, Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, i can pick up the key perfectly fine. It's just hard to see.

Thanks!

small but a completed game! mechanics are fine, clear visual. why only the book shows outline effect?

Developer

I forgot to put outlines on the other objects lol, Thanks for playing!

A good game. It's an excellent prologue to a horror game. Can you imagine the rest of the story? Now I'm curious to know, lol.😄

Developer

Thankss! Ill let yall piece the story together 😉

interesting story, i'm assuming it's like a zombie kind of virus thing which I always think is cool and creepy. good job!

Its a really nice art style. If the game had some sounds and bit more puzzle to finding the key, i think it would be even better. But really nice cool game

Developer(+1)

yeah i agree, i didnt have enough time to add the sounds ToT, Thanks  for the feedback!

No worries, for a 1 week game jam, this is more than amazing. Check out my game too if you have time

The art style is really cool — it reminds me of old Nintendo and other console games.
The only problem is that, for some reason, the web version of the game takes a very long time to load for m

Developer (1 edit)

i think it might be a connection problem, that sometimes happens to me for other games, Thanks for the feedback!

Overall it kept me really interested, i  was looking everywhere for the key, and given the limited color selection the art came together really well.

Now onto some critiques, i love story and narrative games and this kept me interested, although i think it may have helped to have more small details alluding towards the story. it felt as if it was attempting to be mysterious or get the player to ask questions, and i felt like you had the setup to really make this happen, but fell slightly short in keeping retention for a story.

overall i enjoyed it!

Developer(+1)

yeah i totally get what you meant by needing more details T-T, unfortunately i wasnt able to do any about it as the deadline was fast approaching, Thanks  for the feedback!

Art is nice but there's not much in terms of gameplay and searching all the pots was a bit boring.

Nice job though!

Developer

yeah it was definitely lacking of the gameplay side of things, Thanks for the feedback!

I really like the art, it reminds me of old rpg maker horror games! Tho kinda boring and it paused at barricaded and I dunno if it's supposed to do that..

Other than that cute game, I like it

Developer(+1)

The barricaded pausing part was a bug, idk how that got there ToT, and yea it is definitely lacking on the gameplay side of things, Thanks for the feedback!

Favorite part was the sheer amount of pots. 10/10 pot enjoyment

Well-done, it kind of left on a cliff hanger, and I wanted to see more!

I chuckled at "it's been 3 days". I enjoyed the game. Very well made.

Developer

LMAO, Thanks!

This is great !! I managed to escape

Fantastic job packing so much story into such a small game! Also a maybe weird thing to remark but great job on the interaction-collision shapes, even when two things are right next to each other, the game still seems to know which one I'm trying to interact with

Everywhere I go, I see empty pots - wait what's that?!

Developer

HAHAHAHA Thanks! took me awhile to get the interaction right
