How does the game fit the theme?
It's an arena set inside a shuffing rubik's cube. Each face of the cube represent a "normal" place, but as the cube shuffles and different themes meet, strange arenas are formed.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Most of the code was made by me, with help from gemini in debugging and clearing some concepts eventually.

For art assets, I made the main character and the enemy sprites using Kenney's creature mixer, available at: https://kenney.itch.io/creature-mixer

All other art assets are sourced from different places. No generative AI was used to generate any asset. Here are the links to where I got everything:

Lunar Lance and Katana sprites - https://craftpix.net/freebies/free-melee-weapon-pixel-icons-for-cyberpunk

Revolver, tesla generator and ranged enemy weapon sprites, plus general SFX - https://kenney.nl/assets/desert-shooter-pack

very cool concept with the cubes shifting! I did like there was a large variety of characters to play as well! Pirate was my favorite

Cool concept with the rooms shifting, and all the different kinds of upgrades.

It was hard to keep track of my cursor though. Maybe you'll need to render your own cursor, that is a bit more visible than the default Windows cursor.

Thank you for the feedback! I agree with you. I believe I've worked on it for so much time that i "got used" to the cursor and coming back to it a few days after, it really feels hard to see. (The tesla projectiles are kinda hard for me to see now as well haha). I'll polish this for a later version, just won't publish the changes for the gamejam (Not a gamebreaking bug, I don't think it's fair to "improve" the game now)

One of the most fun games i have tried this game jam yet! and thats without audio :P only thing is that it's a bit hard to keep track of all the projectiles and the mouse and the character since he moves so fast and everything blends in a bit. some outlines on the important stuff would help alot.

This was a fun lil experience. For some reason, there was no audio no matter what I did, I'm not sure why. The environment changing during the game was cool and caught be by surprise. Some of the enemies had kind of weird pathfinding and would get stuck trying to approach me but it wasn't a big deal.

for some reason nothing happens after the first wave, but the idea is super creative!

Thank you for pointing it out! I made the basic mistake of just checking the windows version before going to sleep because I was really tired. Just fixed it, in case you want to give it another try :) The web version is not giving me sound, though, which I'm looking into right now, but all the waves can be cleared!

I love the concept of the room's shifting in, and the cube!! that is such a cool idea. all the weapons were fun as well. I had the same issue as the other commenter, where nothing happened after the rooms shifted in after wave 1 of enemies. However, overall really love the idea of this game!! it certainly has legs

For some reason no new enemies spawn after the first wave i saw there was something about upgrades after each wave wich i didnt see, i played a couple of rounds with just wave one and really liked all the weapons i tried. you are allowed to fix gamebreaking bugs though to my understanding, so give me a reply if you manage to fix it!
