Nice game! I really liked the idea here and think that if expanded could be really great! I hope you keep working on it after the jam to add more interactions and more endings.

Very nice little game here! Not much to say about the gameplay, it's fairly simple and clearly isn't the main focus, I'll just point out that the collision with the trees is kind of off, like I can't go underneath one with the way your character's collision is handled. But that's fine.
From a narrative perspective I'll say that it's a bit of a missed opportunity that there aren't alternate paths depending on what you do, as it really feels like that's what the game wants to be. It feels like if I don't speak with the sheep, it shouldn't die on day three, and if I go back to the house on day 4 maybe I just die?
But I tried that on a second playthrough and it didn't happen. If you wanted to add those and didn't have time that's obviously perfectly understandable, but if you hadn't considered that maybe it's something to consider! And also in that vein, possibly make more things in the farm give you hints about what happened, though that is more for if you wanted to make a longer version of this game.
Thanks for sharing, hope you had fun!
Okay, this is unexpected (yet quite expected judging from the blinking thumbnail and the unsettling tone). It's quite a nice and short narrative game with a twist. Nothing much to say about the gameplay, but I do think the tileset choice is decent for the feel you are going for. Also, what the heck is that thing on the left on day 3? The final twist at the end feels a bit less impactful for some reason after all the buildup, but I guess not all stories need to be that dark.
Other things I like:
- Good audio and vfx
- Shreg the sheep :(
- Nice itch page
Suggestions:
- Mom is missing in day 3 and 4, which is a bit odd and seems like a missed opportunity for some storytelling
- Collision detection for the apples is a bit off, which makes collecting apples annoying
Anyway, I do like a short and nice game from time to time. Good job!
I was absolutly stunned for the visuals, and the story, I didn't think it was this deep. Even if the game was pretty short.
The SFX and the VFX made everything so much better.
I wouldn't put a critical part of the game in the main menu screen though,
and the quests with the day title spoilered a bit of what was coming before I arrived at the right zone.
Looking back at the dialogues, it was genial the one with the mother at the river.
Well done overall, enjoyed a lot!
</3 Shreg
beautiful visuals and audio, I loved how the SFX would change on day 4 when the screen was changing. I got a bug where I couldn't finish, I got all my tasks done on day 4 and couldn't enter the house :/
but overall really cool to see the atmosphere you created
Enjoyment: Quick playthrough and easy to follow the narrative, the main quest was on the verge of getting repetitive, but I think 3 or 4 times doing the chores without returns are still fine.
Gameplay: Easy controls, goal is clearly communicated, clearly visible indications of interaction with map interactable objects. Good! Had a bug, where as I completed the game, I still run around and complete the main quest, dunno if this was planned as is.
Innovation: I like the addition of a task parallel to the story aspect of the game, would have liked if there was further impact by the main quest mechanic.
Theme: The setting and sounds implement the strange place theme very well.
Visuals: Mostly clean and consistent art choice. No critiques here.
Audio: As mentioned in the theme section, the choice of music is well placed, supporting the setting and gameplay rather than distract or avert the attention.
Overall solid entry, good job!
I was not prepared for this take such a dark turn D: I still enjoyed playing though, nice job!
That was unexpectedly creepy. I was thinking it would be like Stardew Valley. The music on the last day was really well chosen, I felt really claustrophobic.
Poor shreg. This game reminds me of another game where you had to kill your wife and hide her from the police, and it turned out you were halucinating (I know super random), I cant for the life of me find what it was called, but it played and felt very similar. Overall I really enjoyed your game!
Great game! Keep it up!❤
Bro really solid entry! The visuals and sounds are excellent, really atmospheric. Excelent game, only thing I would complain is about something that happens in day three. Trying to not give spoiler, I thought that something different could happen if I haven't talked to Shreg in day two, but I played again and the same thing happens. But ok. Well, really good job in this game!
Cool game. first of all, RIP shreg 😭😭(he is still with us as his soul goes), BTW i though it has multiple endings after the inital interaction with shreg, So now i am now plot loacked. Really waiting for an DLC.
Cheers Silent Comet
Rip Shreg. I was wondering where this could go with the strange theme, and I guess I found out. Can't wait for the cave DLC. Really unsettling vibe on day 4. Cool submission!
Dude I was terrified when I checked in on Shreg on day three, I had like a mini heart attack seeing him like that. But it's all good now I talked to him on the final day (or was it really him?). Good luck with the jam!
what a lovely game. for such a short game the story is really interesting. i like how it cycles through the days and you keep doing the same tasks. i talked to the sheep. im glad it has a happy ending. good job!
