How does the game fit the theme?
The game takes place in a world where colors are not what we are used to. They are even treated as a religion. You will be in a world where none of the characters or objects make sense.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We used a package of three character assets and built the rest of the assets, trying to match the style and feel. We used a free library from itch.io for all the SFX. All references are included in the project description.

Really cool game! A little challenging but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The art style is also beautiful, nice work!
I loved the concept for the game! The art was fantastic. I could also tell that a good bit of effort was put into the worldbuilding. I will note that not being able to skip dialogue sequences on replays felt a bit tedious, but other than that I had a lot of fun!
Thank you so much for your words! ☺️
Agree, the skip dialogue is already developed, but we are waiting for the voting to end to update it. Thanks for playing, hope you enjoyed :>
I love the theming and concept of this game! It's really cool and the visuals are very striking. The difficulty is a bit too much though? I couldn't even get 1/4 of the way through the second boss fight in three tries, the last one after restarting and getting the level up from the first boss. Very cool though! ^^ I look forward to playing this again if it's made a bit easier.
Thank you for playing and your kind words ☺️ We are already working on some balance fixes, and quality of life improvements like skipping dialogues and adding some checkpoints. We might release it once the jam voting is over
Loved the visuals and the story idea! The combat was too hard for me though and some checkpoints were too far back what made respawning slightly frustrating. Overall nice game though :)
Thank you for the feedback! I agree with the checkpoints. We should implement a better checkpoint system, or make the dialogue skipable once it has been seen. Thanks for playing ☺️
What a funky take on the theme. Super visually distinct, great work with the unique characters, animations, text selection and polish!
My only gripe was sometimes when killing enemies, I would be spamming 'C', and I hadn't realised I had already killed them. Only when I stopped did they die. Otherwise, well done!
Thanks for the feedback! I understand the problem you're talking about and agree with you. What would you suggest to fix it? The enemies already have an animation when you kill them. Would a specific sound effect or a more exaggerated animation help?
Thank you for playing!
Team RED! Tomatoheads
Great game ! I like how I need to check ennemies animations to know when to move and when to attack. Could be a good thing to add a parry mechanic maybe ?
This game has great vibes, the dialogues are a bit tad much, the combat is a little repetitive, the last boss fight just destroyed me by spamming those holes, the narrative design is really cool.
Nice visuals and music
The enemies were really hard tho
Very good looking art! I didn’t make it very far, because the enemies were tough on me, but overall it was fun!
Oh, thank you! Yeah, we might have gotten a little carried away with the difficulty. 😅
Since it's a narrative-focused game, we wanted to make the dialogue-related rewards almost necessary. However, I think we can adjust them a bit more.
The Aetwork is very indie game i love it
Oh thank you so much <3
Beautiful visuals! I love all the animations and characters. Unfortunately the text was very slow and there was no skip button for the starting tutorial which was annoying. The attack animations were amazing but I think the enemies had a bit too much health as it took so long to kill them and I don't like that the tomatoes he throws just instantly kill you. Great game though!
Thank you for the feedback! There is a bug that is slowing the letters animation in browser, since we find the problem you can use the "X" key to skip the letters animation. We've updated the itch.io page controls, since the game does not specify it. Thanks for playing 😄
nice animations and style, the dialogue was slow making it a shame that you tried hard for it and it s tough to read through it patiently. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feedback! We realized that the dialogue is slower than intended in the browser export. We need to fix it. You can press `X` to skip the letter animations. We'll update the controls section since the game does explain it. We're glad you like it. Thanks for playing!
The artwork is beautiful, and I also really love the colour palette! You also have very smooth animations, like the spinning attack. I really like the overall aesthetic of this.
I nearly didn't make it through the intro though, because of how slowly the text appears onscreen. I found out that you can hold C to make it go a bit faster but it's still very slow!
I wasn't really sure whether the pink orbs were good or bad at first, because at the start you don't really lose any health, and when you absorb them you flash like you've taken damage.
Thank you for the feedback! We decided to code our entire dialogue system instead of using a library because we thought it wouldn't be that difficult, but I ended up regretting the decision. There are a lot of things to polish, like the issue you mentioned about being too slow. It was fun, though! 😄
I totally agree about the pink orbs, I think we should have specified it better
