I loved the concept of playing inside the engine! great job :)
Thank you for playing my game!
This was a charming platformer. The whole breaking-out-of-Godot setting made me laugh, really clever use of the theme. Controls feel very agile, the character is charming, and the level design stays fun without overstaying its welcome. Very good entry.
Thank you!
Nice little game you got there! From a presentation standpoint it is very original to have your own engine as a strange place! As far as the mechanics go, and i could be wrong on this, sometimes i felt like i should have taken the key but it slipped past me. Maybe you could try to make the hitbox a little larger? If you have time please check our game!
Yeah it won't hurt to do that, thanks for the feedback!
Interesting concept of using the Godot editor workspace as the setting of the game. As a fellow Godot user, it’s very refreshing to see.
Thanks for checking it out
Nice game! The controls feel great, and the level design is really interesting :) Nice work overall!
Thanks for playing!
Definitely very strange. I liked your use of the editor screen as a level. Nice game!
Thanks for playing!
little fun game, good job!
Thanks for playing!
The character is so cute! I loved the godot scene, it's very smart. The game is short but very fun, well done!
Thank you for playing!
Cute little platformer! I laughed when I saw the Godot engine.
I think the collision box for the player can be a bit more generous especially with the one block landings.
Overall, good work!
Thanks for the feedback and thank you for playing!
Fun little platformer! Would be cool to see more with the environment, animator vs animation style!
Sure, I'll take a look. Thanks for playing!
Cute little funny game! I actually liked the idea of environments being the godo engine xD, for a one man project it was well done!
Thank you for playing!
A fun little platform game! I got caught out on the second level, haha.
Thanks for playing!
Enjoyment: Fun short platformer, nothing crazy difficult. Could be longer, but it seems like you took more focus on polishing what was already working, which I like, as it feels relatively polished.
Gameplay: Easy and sharp controls, perfect for the scope of the Game. Interesting idea to reverse the stage difficulty, that the mechanics get easier that more difficult.
Innovation: Probably the weak-spot of the submission, in my opinion, although as mentioned in gameplay, I like the reversed difficulty and on could say that you play in reverse the making of the game, as we land in the godot editor with some platforms and then in blank white without any mechanics except the door & key. Otherwise tested and true platformer mechanics.
Theme: The settings applies the theme, as the actual player characters engages with its creator game engine. Nothing too crazy, but it works.
Visuals: As mentioned before, while its not content rich, every piece feels like it is near the release material or close enough to release detail. Great job.
Audio: Smooth vibes, very suitable for the platformer as it has only the jumping part and less hazardous components.
Overall good job!
Thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing my game!
Visuals
1 ... no GUI user feedback in main (mouse hover, click)
2 ... check out more complex parallax effects (but I am not sure if it would fit your current platformer)
Controls
1 ... work as intended
Design
1 ... what? Godot Level this made me laugh
2 ... simple 2D platformer
Sound
1 ... classic, works all the time
Bugs
1 ... (visual): get key -> run past door -> animation next LV is still there (its little confusing to see)
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it
love this! simple controls and fits the theme well
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for playing
I like the sound effects and the level in the game engine, simple, but effective visuals. I like the smooth animations for the character.
I think it would be good to add some more obstacles or something to increase the challenge. (Just a suggestion)
Overall, a short, but fun game, which goes well with the theme.
Yeah I agree, the difficulty and number of levels will be the first thing I tackle if I decide to kepp this game going. Thanks for the feedback and playing it!
Loved playing as a character come to life in the Godot IDE!
Glad you enjoyed and thank you for playing it!
Wow creative game! I didn't expect so much at first tbh. Enjoyed the twist! Great submission!
Thank you for playing my game
The level design and the take on the theme is really creative! I am surprised when I get to see the level inside a game engine, really cool game!!
Thanks for playing my game!
I'm usually pretty bad at platformers but I managed to actually get to the end - really liked being inside of Godot with my little character. The movement could definitely use a little polish, as it felt somewhat senstive. But overall, I had a good time!
Haha glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing!
