You had me at "traveling merchant earthworm". Lovely infinite runner game you made here, and really cool move of you to do it in 3D and with a rotating path, that can't have been easy. Great work here!

The animation and level design of this was so cool, especially the juice of unlocking a new level that is some fine work there. Challenging and good pace, and it is so cool that it's a spiral climb!

I spent more time than I probably should have getting that level select up and running haha- glad to know it was worthwhile!

I kept dying on Level 3 and couldn't bring myself to keep going. I think I would have appreciated a slightly more forgiving life system - it could even be tied in with the glowing orbs you pick up (e.g. every 10 orbs gives you a heart)

Funny enough, Level 3 was also the level I enjoyed the most, because of the challenge. I just didn't like starting over from the beginning every time. Skills issue, I know!

Great game, overall - I really like the visuals, excellent audio, and I think making the level circular adds an element I haven't seen before in similar games. Well done :D

The glowing orbs is definitely something that we struggled to find a good use for- this is a good idea! Part of me wonders if it would have been worth implementing a sort of "casual mode" where that unlocks after some consecutive fails. Certain Mario games are an example of this.

Glad that it was still enjoyable!

i love it so much!! i enjoyed playing the whole way through the game. the worm is so cute and the whole thing is just filled with such whimsy. the sound effects were great and the whole experience felt really rewarding. couldn't stop until i beat it all! also the sound effects fit pretty well to the rhythm of the song, which is nice. speaking of music, i wrote a bunch for the game i submitted. id love to write some music for future games like this!

I love the simple fact that you play as a worm, thats just undeniably awesome. Also the rotating camera adds an interesting challenge to seeing obstacles up ahead.

That was pretty fun! Loved the worm guy! Also really liked the fact the path was rounded, so the perspective changed adding a bit of challenge to this game type.  I think it crashed on me when I tried to quit though

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Sorry about the crash, at least the intended result was the same haha.
Do you remember where you quit the game from? Were you on Windows, Linux or web?

Submitted

I'm on windows, playing on the browser (firefox). I think it was level 3? I died and decided to take a break and hit the "quit" button there at which point the game kind of froze

Developer

Awesome, thanks!
