How does the game fit the theme?
A security guard has to look in 'strange places' when patting down a partygoer that wants to enter the nightclub. Hope this is an original interpertation on the theme!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
- Cursor assets + E-button icon (Kenneys asset pack)
- Nightclub and NPC assets (POLYGON asset pack)
- Nightclub music (Royaltyfree track from YouTube)
- Banana sprite (Free download from Google)
Everything else is made from scratch, including all code.

Fun concept!
THis is pretty good, very fun to play, I like the attention to details like the cursor changes and how people actually end up dancing in the club instead of just disappearing. Visuals are amazing and music is also great! Very well done!
I really like the concept behind this one! Although, I would have loved an option to tell the wizard that he couldn't pass... Had a lot of fun with this, well done!
Audio is great, visuals and effects are really good too. Interactions could be a bit buggy sometimes, but all in all it was a fun experience.
we defo had a sameish idea! Love your big built out environment and that the npcs start to dance!
Fun Fact :3 did you know if you push the people waiting in a conga line, youll learn how to fly from the wizard!! :3 I also feel like a tutorial would be awesome sauce :sob: ive gyatt no idea if I need to pat down both sides or just the stomach where most of the smelly plant was found. Cool concept, and pretty good execution though :3 Cool game!
An interesting twist on the theme! In fairness to the customers, I don't think there's a place on your person isn't a strange place to hide "funny smelling plant"!
I enjoyed the music and the animations of the characters. I love that once you search them they go inside to dance. Near the end of the game I just started letting people in to see how full I could get it, but I was disappointed that they did replace each other after it got somewhat full.
I liked exploring the environment, but the gameplay didn't really give me a reason to move from the front door or to the boss. There was a slight bug when I got up on the stage and couldn't come down to floor level again, but I eventually floated down.
It was confusing about whether you needed to search the back and front of the characters, or just the front was fine. I thought the 'hat' or head area (with the hand cursor not the finger) was only accessible from the back, but found it on the front part way through as well.
I let the boss's patience run out to see what the game over was like or if it had kept score, but nothing seemed to happen when the bar ran out. It also took a very long time, so if I'd been keeping up trying to search people I don't know if I'd ever have lost. I think it would benefit from some sort of queue mechanic where you weren't allowed to have people queue up for too long outside.
Overall a well put together 3D game for a week.
Funny game! I liked atmosver club
This was such a funny concept lol.
The whole-pat-down mechanic is actually more engaging than I expected. Having to check multiple areas to make sure you didn't miss anything kept things engaging. And finding stuff like bananas or a "smelly plant" cracked me up. I also thought the cursor detail was a really nice touch, switching between the open hand and the pointed finger depending on where you're checking.
The gameplay loop makes sense, and I can definitely see how expanding it with the shop and upgrades would make it even more interesting. Adding tougher customers or harder-to-spot contraband would pair really well with that progression system.
Fun idea with good potential to expand.
Side note: I gained a new level of respect for nightclub security after standing outside and having to listen to banger music without joining in. I, for one, could not resist....
I was super impressed by the environment you built out and I enjoyed the concept of the game a lot. I think maybe the rate of contraband spawning was a bit low though because I had to pat down like 10-15 people in order to get one! But it was fun when I did! Also in the beginning nobody would stop to let me pat them down!! Overall nice job!
Ha that was a very funny take on the 'Strange Places' theme. The use of the models and animation was spot on. I loved seeing the characters dancing away inside the club. I also like the environment you built out... going to the back and then onto the stage was very funny. I do think there was a wee bug with gravity when I was trying to go back down the stairs.
I think turning some folks away would also be a good option. I had never thought of a bouncer-sim. Sure it is definitely a niche game genre... but it can work.
Great game jam submission.
Great game! The visuals and lighting were really cool, and the overall game loop was fun. Was there a penalty for letting someone in while they still had contraband? If not, that could be a good way to improve it.
great art and audio
I love the atmosphere, reminds me of the PayDay 2 club level!
Really unique way of interpreting the jam's keyword! I think the sound effects are really funny. I don't understand what your supposed to do at first but after the first customer arrives I got it. Also it doesn't make much sense(imo) on where to put the trash. Overall, this is very impressive for a one man project
Cool game, the gameplay loop does get repetitive after a while and you should probably be pitch shifting your sound effects. Overall, I like your interpretation of the theme, keep it up!
