I always appreciate when someone hits the vibe and atmosphere using simple shapes, so good job! It's a bit buggy but with some polish it could be better. Overall, this being your fist game jam and you are solo, good job!

Nice game, liked the atmosphere and the eyes on the trees!

A few suggestions if you want to improve the game :

- It is hard to interact with objects and notes, I will focus on only one way to do so : click on things or use E to interact. Also I would make interactable objects like the key not movable to avoid bugs.
- An indicator when things are interactable could also help a lot in that regard, like an outline or a UI popup (if you want to see a basic example you can check our game)
- I would have loved to see some eyes following you as you move! I have wrote a simple script that does exactly that, if you want I can send it to you or post it in the comments :p
- The puzzles looked strange and interesting, but it would need more variety to keep me intrigued. Maybe something else to find a number, like a riddle?

Cool game overall, congrats on your first game jam!

I like the graphics and the way to move around and interact.

Counting the eyes, it's not clear how many are looking at you, also it's not clear which number should go first into the code. Also while the music sets the atmosphere, it is too distracting.

Overall a game with mystery and an unsettling atmosphere, which urges the player to want to escape. It also fits the theme well.

nice game, but i couldn't escape. What do i need to count? The trees looking at me, the light and the objects? if i enter the number, starting from the trees its wrong :(

Do i need to count the boxes in the house too?

SPOLIERS FOR GAME

Sorry I don't think I made it clear enough in the game on what to count. For the 1st puzzle you need to count the trees with the eyes that are looking at you (Or facing at you). For the second puzzle you need count the Lantern flickers for the middle  Lantern. For the third puzzle you need to count the objects that looks like it doesn't belong there (The white shapes). Then you type the numbers in the lock .Sorry for the inconvenience, Thanks for playing my game :)
