Really cool visual style. It’s an interesting game where you have to navigate around to progress. At first I thought it was a horror game because the atmosphere feels quite scary. The dark corners of the environment make it feel like something might jump out at any moment. Either way, it definitely feels like a strange place, fitting the theme. Good game!

This was a very unique and interesting concept for a game! I liked it a lot, but for some reason couldn't get past the swing. I tried it maybe 5-6 times without succeeding. Is there a strategy for getting past that? Other than that, I would say this game definitely fits the theme very well!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The swing part indeed came out a lot harder than expected (and will be patched in a post-jam update), you need to have a very good timing and press exactly when the button lights up to gain a good enough momentum.

The game is really cool! Reminds me of Rusty Lake series. The broken perspective in some places, such as the starting house, adds to the vibe. Respect for the eye on the top of the screen. I love cut out realistic eyes xD

Hope to see a full version of this game some day

Thank you for the kind words!

We may consider updating the game after the jam ends. Stay tuned ;)

Interesting and surreal experience. I liked the atmosphere and the strange puzzles. Nice work!

Great game! Really enjoyed it. Feel free to try our game too <3

Fantastic game. The atmosphere is very unsettling in a good way. Easily the most uniquely bizarre entry I've come across during this jam. Cheers

That was really cool. I managed to navigate the darkness ^_^ A nice point and click with great art and some fun unexpected puzzles. Very surreal. Loved it!

Woah, definitely the weirdest game I've played in this jam so far. And it was pretty fun and I like the small minigames on the way. Good job!

Great game! Really enjoyed it, only thing I struggled at was the swing part, but other than that, great game!

Thank you for the feedback and for the kind words!

This was pretty interesting to play! The swing was my favorite part, and I thought it was great that swinging wrong wakes you up (though I also really appreciated resetting right to that point and being able to try again). I got two endings + swing death things, though I find it hard to describe what the game is about beyond it feeling extremely dreamlike. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, though I wish there were some more things for me to interact with in diverging ways to push the feeling of the dream (or what the dream is about) a bit further. I clicked on the eye statues at 2/3 in my first playthrough and went through again to try and find one for 3/3 which I did, though I was a bit disappointed that it didn't seem to reveal anything besides that I had collected the final orb. Using the eye cutout to guide the player is brilliant for flavour and dream-mechanics (really helped feel like all you could be interested in is what your subconscious is interested in), but I wish I could have rebelled against the eye a bit to see what the character didn't want to see in other parts of the dream.

Want to emphasize that I really liked this experience! It was extremely strange, and I wish I could have spent more time with it - hope y'all make more stuff like this in the future because I'll be there to play it :)

Thank you for your comment and feedback!

Originally yes, there were plans for a bit more crossroads or things to interact with along the way where you could explore (the one after the swing is an example) but got cut due to time.

And well, we left the overall theme very open, but I confirm there is a main reading key, and you may have some of it right. We also made it a continuation of the themes of the first game, SILENZIO, but I hoped it could still be a standalone experience.

And thanks for the kind words! We indeed plan to update it a bit after the jam if possible so...stay tuned!

You gave me a big review, so here I am, hoping to return the favor!

This is an interesting and unsettling  point-and-click game! The vibes are terrific, and the "stitched together images" ideas is super creative! I don't really get why looking at an eye is so unsettling to me, but it was. I got two of the endings (well three if you count dying on the swing), and I'm not sure if I managed to fully experience the game/story. Are there more endings I've not seen? I would like for the game to tell me, perhaps in the menu?

Gameplay wise, I liked the little mini games as a way to mix-up the point-and-click gameplay. I died more times than I want to admit here on the swings part. But I think it's not really my fault? The optimal time to click the button seems to be right before it lights up, or very early in that phase. In fact, in my experience, clicking it consistently slightly later than that won't  even get you high enough to reach the sphere. And furthermore, the game registers the button press on the mouse_up (like a UI button), not the mouse_down I was personally expecting.

I was also very confused as to why the game ends there, both narratively and just game structure-wise, if you fail the mini game. Initially, I didn't even realise that I failed the minigame, until I retried the game and realised there was no other path to take, and then died there a second and third time,  then I realised that I was failing, and then I failed many many more times trying to do it right. Forcing a game over / ending is just not necessary I think. You're essentially creating an exit point, a point in your game where players feel it's natural to stop playing. It's good to minimise the exit points, so you get to have more time with the player to convince them your game is great!

Narratively, I guess you're trying to convey the nonsensical / strange nature of a dream, but I think you're alluding to something more sinister going on, during the dream. Some action that the player is guided to perform, that will release some horror upon the world or himself, or prevent it perhaps? If that was the some of the idea, I must admit, the latter part does not fully land for me. But it's entirely possible that is because I missed an ending? I mostly felt a little bit lost / empty at all the endings.

I've had dreams before where I felt compelled to do a thing, and I think that's an incredibly cool concept to work with. Especially if it's a recurring dream. I did see some mention of the dream being recurring during one of the endings, but I feel like maybe that is a narrative point that needs to be conveyed during play too.

I think that's all I got. Good job to all of you, including Mirco with the C, not the K. And good luck on the rest of your jam!

Thank you so much for the helpful insights! These are super useful to know!

Yes, I admit the swing part came out MUCH more difficoult than expected. You need to have near perfect timing to catch it right, and we currently found a bug where it doesn't even give more leniency over the press if pressed at the last instant. Thanks also for pointing out the other flaws in that minigame!

My idea for the game over initially was to add stakes to the minigames by making the dream "fade away", until you wake up. And sometimes, when you get woken up from a dream, you can lay down again and you'll be able to catch it again. But I see that we couldn't convey that thing very much and it just looks like another ending (also probably because there is no explicit indicator that you are "failing").

And for last, I confirm you there are currently 2 main endings! As for the narrative, I left it mainly open, but I confirmit has a main theme. We still made it not 'explicit', as dreams often use...strange imagery, that is often not clear even to our minds, and the only thing we can do is interpret them.
But even for this, maybe one other mistake we made was relying a bit too much on the first game, SILENZIO, where the ending tells a bit more (that's why another "recurring dream" is alluded to).

Well, thanks to your inputs now we know what to focus on (we plan to still update the game a bit after the jam ends). A big thank you from all of us including Mirco (as always with the C, not the K)! Gook luck to you too! :)

Great atmosphere. Enjoyed it till the end. Choose to rest, now wondering if there was another ending. Really well done and enjoyable.

Thank you for the kind words!

Maybe, noticing the eyes will reveal a new way in the darkness...

Very nice, I liked the piecing together of the random images a lot

This game is something else, man. This is definitely my favorite game I've played in the jam so far, the aesthetic appeal is amazing and the writing is beautiful. I'd love to play a longer narrative game in this style. Keep up the fantastic work.

Developer

Thank you so much for your words! Glad you enjoyed!

Really nice experience; at first the style was jarring and slowly got me more and more immersed - then I was fully in. I loved exploring it and enjoyed how surreal it felt. Good stuff!

Submitted(+1)

Wow! Loved the setting and the theme. Got totally inmersed, always wondering what was coming next. It's nice that there are some sections that require more gameplay/skill. Great job!

Something I love: I'm honestly not too much of an enjoyer of point and click games, but this one always had me wanting to know more and I liked it a lot actually! You have opened my eyes to a new genre I wouldn't have really considered too much. So, thanks for that lol. I love how surreal it is as well as how it always keeps you on your toes. I also love how it encourages exploration! I also loved how you had mini games within, my favorite involving the tree!

Something I wanted more of: I would definitely say maybe more ambiance sounds would be awesome!

Something that frustrated me: The swing timing, I had to redo it twice lol

However, I don't think I'm versed enough in this genre to give actual good advice, just wanted to stop by and say I enjoyed it and great job!

Thank you for your words and your feedback!

I confirm the swing timing came out much harder than initially planned😅

A good point-and-click game! My only suggestion would be adding proper feedback on not clicking the swing buttons on time. I got confused there a couple of times, thinking what’s happening. 😅

Developer

Thank you for the words and your feedback, very useful to know!

Really enjoyed the swing mechanic, nice setting of the art style and sound creates some tense but not over the top moments. Puzzles were well thought out and it was useful that failure didn't mean starting again fresh.
