How does the game fit the theme?
Every level follows different, alien rules, turning a simple grid-based puzzle game into a series of strange places with unfamiliar logic that you must adapt to.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The music and some of the assets (boxes and tiles) are not mine. They are credited on the game page.

Good job overall! One of the few puzzle games i totally enjoyed playing! What helped was the feelings of the commands for movement (i really liked clicking with your mouse on the tiles) and also the rule discovery which was pretty intuitive all things considered. This is surely one of the gold standards for puzzle games so keep it up!

Very cool game, I wish I had taken the time to polish level design like you ! Well, I guess you may wish you had some time for the art... You did a good job turning the theme into gameplay, where many entries would just do their thing and make the environmental visuals strange.

Anyway, I tend to enjoy the actual puzzles a bit more than the guesswork to figure out the rules, and you delivered that too, with many levels requiring a bit of thought even once the rule is figured out, and of course the last 8 levels, which introduce challenge in the right way : by mixing rules, rather than leaning  towards the "let's make the level bigger so there's more steps" approach, which is often unsatisfying as a player.

Nitpicking : 7.2 was frustrating : it was its own rule discovery, and perhaps the rule's a bit too out of the box to not introduce it in a minimal setting ? I encountered a bug in 13.2 where the laser would often (but not reliably) kill me through walls.

Thank you! I’m pleased you liked the level design because it was the most challenging part without doubt, and the most time consuming as well. Indeed if I didn’t spend so much time on that I would have improved the graphics. And yeah, 7.2 is the one I most regret including, it’s very out of left field, and thank you for telling me about the lasers bug, they did give me a bit of trouble but I thought I fixed them! I’m preparing a small update for after the rating period ends so I’ll try to find that bug :)

Cool concept and a good amount of content.
Satisfying gameplay feedback and nice overall polish.
Well done for a solo project!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on our game as well if you get the chance.

This game is pretty neat! I struggled a bit with how some of the later levels work though and I found a lot of soft locks. Other than that, some of the puzzles are cool, good job!

This was a well-polished game, especially for 20 hours. I feel like the left player controlled on the right of the keyboard and vice versa was a bit confusing but I got used to it. Overall, a really well made entry.

Really creative take on sokoban mechanics. Amazed how you got so much into it. Some of them made a lot of sense to naturally let players discover how they work, but a couple were a little too confusing. Namely the box merging in 7.2, how to control the two players was weird with mouse controls and the combo mechanic. Otherwise, the puzzles were designed really well. Great job!

REMARKABLE! It's a collection of so many possible sokoban mechanics, and the exploring of rules is kind like knowledge lock. Considering it's made within 20 hours, great job!

the puzzles are simple but very entretaining

This was really well designed. The aliens are adorable haha The two player style mirrored worlds, that took some thinking but it was good fun. Do you think you would continue with this and make it into anything bigger?

If you don't mind, I would really appreciate you checking out our game too!

Developer

Thank you! and not really, I just wanted to make something simple and fun for a jam, nothing more. I might do a small patch after the rating perior ends to fix some things/add small QoL stuff but that’s it. Glad you enjoyed it though! And for sure, I’m currently downloading yours!

I really loved the level designed and the different mechanics that were introduced in each one. I enjoyed trying to figure out the new rules defined in each level.

Congratulations on the game. The puzzles are really cool and quite challenging. You have to think a lot to achieve the objective. I enjoyed it a lot.

So funky! The music is great and I love the addition of a music volume slider - really makes the game feel like a finished product. The level design was great too and I like how it was easy to read and understand what you should do. Great job!

Loved the music. It was challenge figuring out the mechanics but it was very satisfying once I got it.

Awesome puzzle game. I really love the uniqueness of this.

Figuring out the rules at first was honestly the most fun part. That moment where something clicks and you realize what the mechanic is doing feels great. And then you take it a step further by expanding on that ruleset once the player understands it, which is smart design.

I also liked the simple mouse movement. Navigating a 2D space like this works really well with mouse controls, and even the more puzzle-heavy elements felt smooth. It’s clean and readable.

I could definitely play more of this. I can also see it doing really well on mobile; it feels like it would translate naturally there.

Really strong puzzle design here, especially for around 20 hours of work. Great job.
