How does the game fit the theme?
The neighborhood you go through in the tutorial switches to its side, making level 1 a strange, sideways neighborhood you have to climb up. I was aiming to confuse the player, since they had to get used to a normal neighborhood, then immediately have to adjust to a similar but also strange environment.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I got my SFX from "freesound.org" and "bfxr.net".

I wish you pivoted around the actual pogo point and not the center of the character, that made the game a lot harder. I couldn't beat level 1. Too hard, 10/10.

With physics to give it a Happy Wheels feel could be reaaaaally fun. Anyway good job !

I actually like this game! The movement feels really good. I love Boing. There should be more of a platform at the beginning of level 1 though, and I think all the houses should have colliders. Maybe nicer for hitting your head, since it would consider my head being hit if it was only my shoulders that touched the ground. With a longer platform the beginning would be easier to get used to I think.

I would really appreciate it if you could review my game!

Despite its range inducing nature, I couldn't help but laugh and enjoy it at least a little. This feels like one of those old rage-games that youtubers would play in like 2013, because of that I still had fun despite not even being able to finish level 1.

Very cool premise. I liked going through the neighborhood and then having the whole thing get rotated. My only issue is I think the level design is pretty rough. I know that the game is supposed to be rage inducing, but having the first few platforms be super small and it being easy to slam your head on anything around them felt kinda awkward. It might have been better to ease the player in to the difficulty.

I totally agree with the idea of easing the player into the difficulty. When I first started making my game, level 1 was never supposed to be as hard as it was, since the original idea for the gameplay loop was to get to the end as fast as you could while doing tricks on your pogo stick for extra points. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to code the trick system in the game, so I made the game a rage game instead.

I like your idea and the pogoing is very fun. I did find it very hard to adjust the angle of the guy and identify what you can and can't stand on though. I think if you could fix some of the issues then this would be a really fun game. I would love to see a version of this made with a bit more time. Keep up the good work!

Also is this your first game jam? If so, congratulations and I'm really interested in seeing what other cool ideas you'll have!

Thank you very much for the feedback! Also, yes, this is my very first game jam.
