After a couple of tries I think I got it down pretty good. Once you get a rhythm going it's really enjoyable to move and shoot on time. Some of the enemies were pretty creative like the one that splits into the lanes on either side. Was pretty difficult but overall fun! Nice work!

Developer

Thanks, i will try your game soon!

A 2D plane shooter mixed with rhythm mechanics is a really interesting concept. It takes a little time to get used to, but the idea is creative and stands out. The music is great too and complements the gameplay well.

Developer

Thank you, loved your game!

The game is difficult, but I had fun. I’m not sure if the goal was to do everything in rhythm, but I liked it.

Developer

Thanks!

i tried ur game and although i found it somewhat difficult (as im not a multi-tasker) i somehow found it fun. i like the uniqueness of each enemy and the art is good as well but its like pixel art on top of drawn background. the music is also somewhat mysterious yet chill, but i think some audio responses would be a nice addition. overall, i can really see the potential!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and comment. Maybe we improve de game on the future.

This game looks like it has potential, but I had a lot of trouble figuring out what I was supposed to do. I tried moving and shooting to the beat, but I kept failing. I think there might be something I'm missing

First of all, we love to play your game, great art. Thank you for playing our game.

This was kind of fun. I was really confused for a few minutes not understanding what I could do other than move, the controls aren't very intuitive. I also think my movement would sometimes just not register?

Otherwise it feels like it could be quite fun with a bit more polish and clarity.

Thanks for your submission

Thank you for playing, we do our best.

The idea is great. However, the control feels really weird, and how the game works is quite unclear. Great potential though!

Developer

Thanks, we messed up the tutorial and explanations. But it's our first game jam.

This game is so fun! I'm sooo bad at rhythm games but this one feels so good to play, also is pretty easy to learn. The idea is really really good. I loved it good work!

Fun! I'm not a big fan of rhythm games, but this one feels pretty smooth and easy to learn. The graphics could be better, but they do the job well, great game!

Thanks man!

Cool rhythm game! The combination of a top down space shooter and rhythm game is a nice idea and they work together well.

Small feedback:  It would be nice to let the player know what the controls are because I couldn't find them (but maybe I missed it?). Also since it's grid based, a subtle visual presentation of the grid would give a bit more clarity of how everything moves over the field.

All in all, good job👍

Developer

In the end of the cutscene have a image explain the commands. Thanks for playing!

That was a really fun experience! The enemy variety was a nice touch, and having to learn their behaviors on the fly made the combat frantic and engaging. The boss fight was a great way to finish things off too! My only critique is that it seemed like there were times where my inputs failed despite me being very close to the beat. It's possible my sense of rhythm isn't as good as I think, but something definitely felt off on a few occasions... Still, I had a great time!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah hava a little issue about the timing but i can't resolve that with the time i have.

The game is very solid and I like the idea. First rhythm game I've played this jam and it was definitely interesting. I would say if you ever get a bit more time to make the instructions a bit more clear as it was slightly confusing but I love the premise!

Developer

Thank you man. Unfortunately i have to work all week long so don't spend more time making a tutorial or something.

Submitted(+1)

I feel that heavily. The week limit can feel really crazy while you have other stuff doing so nothing but respect.

Nice game, I enjoyed it!

Thank you.

I love rhythm games! I thought there was a pretty good spread of enemy types too so there was always something to keep me on my toes.  The drawings at the beginning were a cute touch. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for play and comment.

I thought this game was really nice! Super creative and very fun. I was super about how to play at first though, and I didn't know why I kept dying. For that reason, I would have rathered a tutorial, but still, well done!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing the game and comment! We want to make a tutorial but we don't have time.
