Love the chill ambience of the game, all the sfx and the minigames! I feel like some tooltips or more text to make the gameplay clearer would be great (for e.g. the house campfire building one, I’m not really sure what the coloured bar on the left of the screen is? And it would be great to have a count of how many sticks I had!). Overall fun and whimsical. Great game!

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't have much time to work on the UI, especially since the survival scene was redesigned just a couple of hours before the deadline.

Hey there, would love to try out your game, and the screenshots look really appealing! Any chance you could upload a web build? I'd rather not run a .exe.

Developer

Unfortunately, this won't work. It's impossible to upload new builds during the jam.

You can make a new project that is unrelated to the jam, and upload your web build there. This way people could play it and review your game on this project. It's a bit of a grey area I suppose, since you could improve your game with the new build in theory, but just don't do that and I think it's fair game :)

The three minigames were really fun, and I liked the idea with the portals  it reminded me of VRChat. The whole thing gave me a kind of ‘Santa’s workshop’ vibe. Keep joining game jams; they’ll keep your motivation high and help you build new skills along the way. I’m on Linux, and you don’t want to know how long it took me to get your game running. In the end I discovered I could just add it to Steam and launch it from there. By the way, is it possible to export your games for the browser so they can run directly on itch?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. This is my first jam, and I've already realized my biggest mistake. Next time, I'll build the game for Windows, Linux, and the browser.

Not bad, the sleight's minigame was my favourite.
Really funny the snowman's design at the end and interesting the creepy turn.
Personally i would change the ending's music theme.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. The music in the snowman game doesn't quite fit the theme of the "Cozy" jam, but I thought it would be funny. In future jams, I'll keep in mind that not everyone appreciates the emphasis on memes.

Nice little game. It was nice walking around. Music was definitely interesting to say the least. The minigames were cool and the portals looked nice.

Developer

Are there any areas that could be improved?

The camera choice was a bit weird with it being first person but bobbing up and down. If we're playing a snowman then snowmen don't really take steps like that, they more wiggle to the sides which still isn't the best idea. But I thought the up and down camera motion was a little out of place. Maybe I would've done a third person perspective in the hub and shift to first person during the mini games. Then you could have the snowman wiggle to the sides.

The music in the snowman shooting level didn't really fit at all. Like yes it was a fast paced song but it was like a spanish club song, not something i'd expect to hear in a cozy winter snowman game. It was still a little funny and I like that kind of music so I enjoyed it, but it didn't fit everything else lol.

Also, next time try to get the game playable in browser. Most people just do not want to download files to play a game for a game jam and they usually only do it if the screenshots and the game page look really clean. You'll notice that all of the lowest rated games are all non-browser games. Which doesn't say anything bad about the game itself, it's just not as accessible and web builds are sort of the standard for game jams from what I've seen if you want a lot of people to play and rate it.

Thanks for the feedback. The choice of music for the snowman scene was completely random. I came up with Oleg the Snowman, and he's a direct reference to a meme. One of the tracks is actually from the meme, and I decided to add Phonk for some dynamism; without it, it would have been really boring just walking around shooting at snowmen. This was my first jam, so I didn't know what to do with browser games; next time, I'll do just that. Thanks again for the feedback; you're the first person to give me constructive criticism about my game.

All good! This is my first jam too. I'd definitely look up how to export to a web version with your engine.

Those are some chad snowmen!  Overworld is very cool, I liked those Mario 64 style teleports.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, you're the second person to mention Mario 64. It's great that everyone sees something different in the game: some see it as Mario, others see it as "It takes two"

Developer

Tell me the secret to getting so many views on the game, lol

Variety is the spice of life! A fun collection of mini games and love the Mario 64 style hub world as a set up. Some interesting music choices...

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, but it's sad that so few people notice it.

Oh my god, the game starts with the Roblox Obby theme music, then we enter a portal and play Subway Surf, then it becomes an FPS shooter, we kill snowmen while Phonk and Mooged music plays in the background, what more could you want? It's an amazing game. I'd be happy if you played our game too :3

Developer(+1)

I didn't know it was Roblox music. The melody is supposed to be random. Okay, I'll get some sleep and play.

Developer(+1)

Are there any flaws in the game? Or rather, what could be improved?

Developer(+1)

Did you decide not to mention the Survival minigame? Or didn't you find it?

Submitted

The only flaw in the game is that you need to give the player a little more freedom, in my opinion. I think I reached the place where we had weapons, and then I guess I didn't find all the snowmen. I searched for 10-15 minutes but couldn't find them. I closed it and will check again later. Also, the Roblox music is great; it has a nostalgic and chill vibe. I really liked that part.

I logged back in and finished the survival minigame as well. The idea of a lobby full of minigames is great, I think it's sweet, I liked it.

Loved mini game idea! It felt like I'm playing one of It Takes Two's free roam lobbies but by myself.

After 15 hours, at least someone noticed his eyebrows.

Developer

Can you give feedback on the game?

Submitted(+1)

Good game, I completed the race and the snowman hunt, but in the countryside I didn't have enough time to finish building without freezing.

Developer

Are there any comments about the game itself?

Submitted

I liked the atmosphere and the fact that the game has gameplay in the form of different mini-games.
