How does the game fit the theme?
The game emphasizes how varied life can be and how we can't comprehend what life on other planets would properly be like without bias from our own world. That being said our own world has some of the strangest known creatures anywhere, right here... on earth (the strange place).

none of the audio assets were made by me, everything else was!

This was a unique take! I did not expect to be playing a unique version of 20 questions. Got 6 out of 10. Had to make some bold guesses at the end haha. Good work.
What a fun puzzle game and novel take on the Jam theme! I had a lot of fun trying to ascertain each of the assets and ended up getting 7/10 correct so good enough to get a full time position..hopefully! I wish there was a bit more agency in making decisions that weren't directly linked to the computer since once you get low it just becomes a 50/50 guess but otherwise I see the vision. You've got great writing skills which got me to chuckle and added to the overall charm of the game in combination with the art style. Really good work here.

The heart question just seemed too powerful and I ended up wasting too much energy on it and not having enough for the last few haha. Ended up with 7/10
I appreciate that you added a bit more thought to the 20-questions style of game with the costs. My feedback would to go further with that - maybe start the player off with some information about each object that would make some of the cheaper options feel situationally more valuable, rather than the same strategy each time.
