How does the game fit the theme?
Catverse.exe is a window based exploration point and click game. It takes place inside an old school computer but instead of browsing normal files, the player must travel through strange digital dimensions to find all kitties! All with strange vibes and chill but strange music.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Art assets were purchased with valid licenses. Everything else is self made!

Played your game on stream. I've got the vod below if you wanted to watch me go through it.
Overall nicely made. Mechanic of needing to resize stuff to find the cats was unique and worked pretty well. There was a couple bugs I ran into (not being able to shrink a window after it becomes too big) but was able to avoid that in a run and then find all the cats.
At first I was trying to overlap the windows in different ways since I thought that might make them affect each other and make a cat show up (and seemed to do something at first cause things like the fish that appeared right after I did it lol). Realized it was only resizing after a bit though.
Loved the idea! I had to actually use my brain to realise i could change the window sizes to find the other cats.
That was fun. I only found 12 cats. Need a hint ...

Really enjoyed this little game. Took me a mo to discover i can resize the windows and that sneaking legendary cat took some time to find XD. Love this, it would be cool to have music ‘files’ you can find and add to a ‘media’ player and things change depending on what music you have playing and some cats only being found in the audio visualiser and stuff. Really cool!

I am so amazed by the concept. So cute and nostalgic. Love the visuals and music too! I did get stuck however when I maximised one of the windows fully so that it was covering the entire game screen and then I couldn't exit it. But I could see this as a very popular game if you add more to it!

Very cute and well-executed concept. The music was fun and relaxing. I had a couple of issues with the screens being pulled too big and not being able to reset them. I also found a cat that I couldn't collect*(spoiler below)
I thought this was fun, I think the concept could definitely be expanded into a fantastic, relaxing game.

I really liked this as a base mechanic, would be cool to see it adapted to a puzzle type game, though I suppose finding the cats themselves was a bit of a puzzle. I was thinking about overlaying screens on top of one another to make cats appear out of the background art, but if that's a thing I never got it to work. Very good art and music too, very vibey.

I like how you have to stretch out the windows of the files to find the cats. Really good visuals/animations.
I found 14 cats, 10 common cats, 3 rare cats and 1 legendary cat, but there was no ending.
Overall, a cool idea which fits the theme and has simple, but fun mechanics.

Really cute, I love cats. If you make the in game browser (the pop up from red/green/blue) bigger than your game screen, there's no way to reset it so I had to restart a few times. Very beautiful animations!
