Played through your game on stream. I've got the vod below if you wanted to watch me go through it.

Was a really unique platforming mechanic. Worked well and the switch up at level 6 is nice to add some variety to things (although it was a lot less fun for me than the previous section to the point where I eventually gave up on it due to not having a great time). The platform movement being the same speed as the player tends to make it so all the jumps had to be predicted (which cant be done easily blindly on the first run through a level due to the platforms not indicating where they are moving to and from). A lot of the later levels also tended to mostly be just hoping you land on the correct spot to go onto  the thin platform instead of being a full puzzle or skill check.

Simple but so extremely well executed, and adorable! Great job!

The slug looks really good! Maybe I'm too used to dudes without animation. So this is something new. It takes a while to figure it out, then it becomes fun.

Great game! Really likes the whole mirror mechanic. Amazing idea!!

Beautiful and very cute animation. Love the upside down mirroring challenge!

Puttered with it for some time because I enjoy the art, but the third level was to hard for me -- I couldn't get the timing for the second jump.

Thank you! Sorry about the difficulty, we didn't mean to make it this difficult : this is the problem when you don't have enough time to playtest ahah

Good work! Some platforms are a bit too fast, but the game is fun and art and music are nice.

Developer

thank you :)

I really liked the mechanic. It can be a bit frustrating that the platforms move so fast, even knowing the pattern it can still be quite challenging, but in a good way, engaging and fun. I liked the art as well, and the movement felt clean and well done.

Overall, a solid game. Well done!

Game was pretty and well done. simple mechanic but well executed and thought it added a lot and fitted the theme. loved the music and did not get bored of it. I know there is some debug key that lets you see the non mirrored character (`~`) (took me a bit longer than 10-15 mins but was having fun).

Think it would have been cool to play more around with linking the top and the bottom in other ways but for a jam and your first game i thought it was very cute. Well done.

Developer

Thank you! There is no debug key and it should not be possible to see the character mirrored because there is none. Could you send a screenshot please? We are very curious about this

Submitted(+1)

no I was joking because i thought you might have some developer shortcut to make it easier because I kept on dying. Ha

Developer

Ahah nice try!

nice concept and visuals. The platforms sometimes feel like their rhythm is desynchronized and its harder to jump on them but i guess that's a skill issue.

Developer

We thought about it and maybe a VFX for the landing would have solved this problem (as someone said in another comment). Thank you for the feedback!

I like games where the opposite of what you expect is what happens. This was a fun game to play with a cool mechanic indeed. Well done.

Developer

Thank you! :)

Nice game! Some platforms are a bit too fast in my opinion, but otherwise I enjoyed it a lot! Congrats on your first jam!

Developer

Thank you for your kind message and the feedback!

Your game is wonderful. The idea of blindly jumping around using the scenery above as a guide to advance through the levels is very clever. The game is quite difficult because it tests your motor coordination to the limit. Congratulations.

Thank you so much, it means a lot ❤️

It's an addictive game, and the music is pretty good. The difficulty is high enough, but maybe too high. You could implement a life system in each level. The graphics are on point, the shapes are simple and playfull. Coloring are not too bright, so we can spend time on the game easily. If you're fond of enigma, welcome to the game.

Thank you for the feedback! :)

It was really cool, I played the game with pleasure (and a little bit of aggro), an interesting idea for the game mechanics _

Developer

Thank you so much! We're very happy that you liked our game

I like the game mechanics and visuals.

The audio got a bit annoying  over time, but to be fair it is on loop. Maybe add some other music and make it switch between them, every now and then. (Just a suggestion)

Overall a very interesting and fun idea of using gravity and symmetry.

Took me 5mins to understand the mechanic I was stuck on the level 2, but after it was really fun well done !

I like the way you say you introduce vertical symmetry to increase the challenge, as if it wasn't already challenging enough 😂 this is such a cute game, really unique concept, I'm just terrible at it!
