How does the game fit the theme?
Horse? Grapple? Arrows? How strange?
No, but seriously I had to remove pretty much all theme related stuff from the game due to overscoping. The original idea was that enemies would be chasing you down that keep spreading shadow on the nearby terrain, but actually animating them proved to be way more difficult, so I had to give up on them to be able to finish something for the jam.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Font, SFX, the sky and trees come from third parties.

Amazing entry! I had a lot of fun, and it feels very polished. Scoring a target is very satisfying! I would make the shooting targets bigger and/or more discernible from the environment.
Really impressive, the visuals, the sound, the experience. It's super clean ! Congrats !
Feel free to test our game !
Fun game once I was able to get it working! I kept falling through the map directly after the tutorial and has to restart a few times. I watched my partner play and he had no issues and had a lot of fun with it. It was super fun flying through the air like that once I got used to the controls. Congrats on the game!
These visuals are top tier! Super impressive, especially given the time frame. The movement was also really well-made. Super cool stuff!
Pretty funny concept - loved just flinging myself across the map! Very chaotic but fun
Loved the feeling, really chaotic but well executed!
That is truly an odd way of transportation. Can't say I wouldn't try it though. I was always a sucker for the "gotta go fast" games, and this one scratches the itch. Can be a bit frustrating when going too fast and slamming into a tree, if it ever becomes a full game I DEMAND a funny ragdoll! Otherwise amazing work, keep it up!
I love the sound effects and the gameplay! I would totally love to see you finish the game. The mechanics felt really fun
Really creative idea, and it's a very fun game. I love the art too, nice work!
So much fun zooming through the air, if you time it right you can go so fast that the trusty steed isn't able to keep up which was more amusing than being an problem, really great visuals. From one solo dev to another, Great work!
Lovely art, the menus and UI are inspiring lol. Made me think of Persona games. Beautiful VFX, love the sense of movement, and the idea of a speedrunning game on a horse where shooting stuff gives speed. Grappling hook was kinda funny but a bit too jank for my taste, not the best jank-embracer. And I couldn't see the theme in here, as you explained above, the scope issue of game jams!
A fun ride (hah) and a very impressive experience for 1 week.
Ok, as someone who has exp with shooting traditional bows I always love archery in games. What I love is the snap shooting element of it all, shooting feels good, the speed and the visuals /graphics is great, to bad there is no music but the wind rushing does have certain feel it to as well. Menu looks good and controls are abit janky but lowering the sensitivity of the camera helps. More targets further away to the sides can be nice, and some slight smoothing out of the path can be done. Would be nice to have the camera not zoom while aiming too, -just personal pref- then perhaps the horse control less prone to tree smacking. I do not get the grapple concept though? I just did it in the tutorial and not again. If there where some valleys or fallen trees, sure that would make sense. Solid effort, it is fun and most likely a game I would purchase. Loved it, great effort!
Gameplay was well done, and the game has a amazing graphics! The only feedback I'd give is to have a grapple hook icon on your cursor to tell you at what distance you could grapple to; for example, if you were too far, the cursor would turn red, if you were close enough the cursor would be blue or green. Overall, great job!
Great graphics but the controls were really janky.
Gameplay broke several times during tutorial - couldn't get past the 'grapple' part of the tutorial - kept losing control of the character, bobbing in space and soft-locked the controls. Fun concept though!
