Ranked from 23 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does the game fit the theme?
The game has you going through an alleyway that loops with minor differences each time. "Strange places" refers to both the concept of a looping alleyway and the multiple rooms in the alleyway, all of which are a little strange.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The music and font were borrowed. Proper credits are on the itch.io page and in the game's credits.

How many people worked on the game?

very cool project, loved the loop idea and the characters comments on the changing environment, also the replayability factor is so awesome! I got the bad ending first, so I needed to play again to save the character, congrats!!

I really like this idea! The artstyle is very cute and it's fun to replay and find all the different endings, I'm glad for the note with hints and I think I got all the endings. I just wish it had a better interact button instead of just a mouse click (maybe E could be good)

Loved this one. The Brackey's graffiti made me laugh (I also have no idea what a "Brackeys" is, but it's fun to say), and the pixel art looks great.  The main character especially has a lot of charm.

What really got me is how it starts off kind of light and playful while you're poking around reading all the little bits, and then each loop gets a little weirder and creeper until I was genuinely nervous to see what the next screen would throw at me. The looping-alley concept is really cool, and having multiple endings made it very intriguing to replay and see them all. I'm glad there's multiple,  because that first ending...oof. Awesome solo jam entry.

great jam game! very awesome job. didn't expect the multiple endings!

Feedback:

- text overlap between the graffiti and the lamp post

- collision for lamp and light felt a little off sometimes.

Overall: Awesome jam game!

As a tutor, can confirm, this is a regular thing that happens to us.

But seriously tho, Dude this is great!! Love the loop mechanic it's so seemless!

At first I thought it was a single ending but each time i clicked play again I was very pleasantly surprised by being greeted with another ending!!!

The meet the game dev ending is hilarious though and my favorite, I was not expecting that at all lmao

Really such a great job for only one developer! Pretty happy with my endings, thanks!

Incredible work for one person! Loved the comment about the bounty and RAM :). I am using a laptop so i must use the touchpad instead of the mouse, I would make the interaction some button of the keyboard (just a suggestion).

Great job on your solo project! It’s really interesting how the loop mechanic creates multiple possible paths and different endings, which strongly encourage replayability.
