A bit slow paced overall, but the animations and audio feedback are nicely done, I also like the level design.
Nice work !
Feel free to check out our game too.
Thanks! Yeah, I wish I had fine-tuned the movement a little more before I designed the world around it... I'm glad you still had fun with it though!
A relaxing platformer! Love the music, love the pacing and animation. I did't get very far, but I never do with these kinds of games. And I enjoyed it very much.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
its so relaxing, Good job
Thanks!
Dustin is a great little character. The whole dust-bunny thing was pretty wholesome, and I like the chill tone of it all.
The platforming felt laid back, which I think fits the theme. When I got the glove/grip tool, it became more engaging; being able to latch onto ledges made the movement way more interesting. I was also super curious what all the little 1 knobs were for too, before I got the glove lol. I also liked that there wasn't just one strict path to the bed too. Finding different ways up was fun.
It feels like with a bit more polish and maybe a little guidance on where to head next, this could be even stronger. But for a solo first platformer in Godot in a week, this was good.
Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! I was really happy with how the climbing glove turned out, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I agree that fine-tuning the movement and giving more guidance to the player would have helped. I learned a lot about basic platforming mechanics that I'm excited to take forward to a new project!
Not bad but the gameplay is toooooo slow. Anyway good job for only one person in one week
Thanks for playing! Yeah, I agree that the movement is too slow, and it's definitely something I'll keep in mind next time I make a platformer!
I LOVE it!
Super cute and relaxing game, I really liked the whole vibe. Playing as the little dust creature (or whatever it is) is adorable, and unlocking new abilities to explore more of the room is a fun idea. It feels cozy and creative without needing enemies or anything stressful.
Movement felt a bit sluggish though. The character accelerates slowly and the jump is very floaty, which made some platforming sections harder than they probably should be. Since the game is mostly about moving around, tightening that up would make a big difference.
I also wasn’t always sure where to go next after getting certain upgrades, so a tiny bit more guidance could help while still keeping the exploration feel.
But overall I had a nice time with it. It’s charming, different, and clearly made with a lot of care. Good job!
ALSO, if you like brain-teasing puzzle platformer make sure to check out our game!
Thanks so much for the praise and feedback! It's good to hear that you enjoyed the game even with its rough edges! Still, your critiques are totally valid, and I'll definitely pay more attention to movement feel and player direction in future projects.
Not bad. Really relaxing. You should maybe improve the controls a bit, since the game is all about platforming. The acceleration was too low, and the jump was a bit floaty. It made moving really slow and difficult. But still, good job!
Thanks! Yeah, I agree that the controls are a bit too slow. It's definitely something I'll be aware of for future projects.
A nice and chill Metrioidvania-esque game without the enemies. I made it until the feather but then was confused as to where to go from there (I think still up the left side, but I couldn't make the jump? Could just be a skill issue). Perhaps make it so that when you leave one of the upgrade rooms one of your dust friends shows you the way to go from there or something to give a bit more direction with your new powers. The jumping was a little too slow and floaty, but I really did like the creative level design. Great job!
Thanks for the feedback! Sorry you got stuck after the feather. Were you using the climbing ability and double jump together?
I like your suggestion of adding some subtle indicators on how to progress. It's definitely something I'll keep in mind for future projects!
Very nice and relaxing. Probably didn't get too far (only got the "glove" upgrade).
Congrats !
Thanks for playing! I hope you had fun with the climbing glove at least. I was really happy with how it mixed up the platforming.
What a beautiful game! The gameplay is a bit slow for my taste, but in this one it's very well done, great job!
Thanks! And yeah, I had intended for the movement to feel methodical, but I do think I overdid it a tad. I hope you still enjoyed it!
I really enjoyed this one.
At first the controls feel very very floaty, but being a dust sprite it kinda makes sense. Each mechanic is thought in a very clever way: a simple, yet effective “puzzle” to return back to the main world. The mechanics also work pretty well together.
Often I was like, no, I cannot make that jump, but then I tried, and it was possible :D My only feedback for this game would be to re-iterate on the movement feel a bit. This is probably something tricky to get right without losing the dust-personality controls
Played all the way to the end (what a cute ending) Very nicely done :)
Thanks so much for the feedback! I'll be the first to admit that controls are a bit too floaty and the level design is a bit too tight. Still, it sounds like you had exactly the experience I had hoped for and made it all the way to the end! This project was a big learning experience for me more than anything else, but despite its rough edges, it's comforting knowing that the overall vision still made it through to some of the players :)
Very nice game that has a lot of charm to it. Very creative to make dust bunny as player character and I like the new abilities that the player can get. While you need to get to used to controls, it feels rewarding when you learn them. My only nitpick would be to somehow show player where they need to go next (I kind of didn't know where to go next after getting slow fall ability and couldn't get past swivel chair due to skill issue). Still very fun game that i enjoyed. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback! I know I probably made the platforming too tight for its own good, but I'm glad you at least had fun learning the mechanics. You're not the only player to be confused on how to progress after the slow fall ability, so I definitely should have added more indicators on where to go next... If you're curious, there are two paths you can take at that point. The first is to jump from the windowsill to the right and drift onto the chair. However, if you miss that jump or fall to the ground while climbing the chair, you can also get up via the desk leg, like so:
I did miss falling onto chair and I also did climb desk leg, the issue was getting higher from place that you sit on. Though falling from that point was a bit too punishing I think. Still fun experience.
Yeah, that's fair. Sorry that the difficulty kept you from finishing. I'll definitely keep that in mind for future projects. Thanks again for the feedback!
Nice game! The hand grab sometimes requires quite a bit of precision, and combined with the heavy movement, it can feel a bit troublesome. However, it becomes much easier after getting the feather upgrade, so maybe switching their order would make it more forgiving. I didn't manage to get past the area after the dandelion upgrade, though. It was pretty fun. Nice work!
Thanks! That's a great idea! The double jump definitely makes the climbing more manageable.

If you're curious, there are two ways to progress after the dandelion upgrade. One is to jump from the windowsill directly onto the chair to the right, but if you miss that jump, you can still climb up the desk leg from the bottom, like so:
Very nice, I like his little smile every time you jump and the eyes moving left and right while hanging off a ledge. Took a few minutes to realise holding space gave a bigger jump and ultimately a bit too difficult for me, I didn't complete it, only made it up the backpack and partly back across the bed.
Thanks for playing! Sorry it was too difficult. I have a bad habit of wanting to stretch mechanics to their breaking point, and I really should have pulled back a bit for the game jam. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed the visuals!
Nothing wrong with stretching your mechanics, I guess the skill lies in being able to recognise when you're doing it and putting those sections right at the very end of the level/game then gradually building up towards them.
A fun platformer. It seems a bit slow, though.
Thanks! Yeah, I completely agree, and it's one of my biggest regrets with how I designed the core mechanics. Unfortunately, once I realized that the controls were a bit too floaty/slow, I'd already designed most of the platforming around them and there wasn't time to redo all of it... It's definitely a learning experience I'll take forward to future projects though!
I like the character design but the controls are a bit inconvenient
Thanks! Would you believe that the controls were even worse before I reworked them? You used to have to switch manually between the different hats to use their abilities. I eventually decided it was a bit much though... What did you find inconvenient about the current control scheme? I'd love to hear suggestions for alternative controls!
Love the pixel art!
Thanks! I wish I had more time to rework the main background, but I'm pretty happy with how the smaller areas turned out.
Very coolio game! Funny you submitted it 2 minutes before the jam! You should try out our game!
Thanks! Yeah, I probably cut it a little closer than I should have, lol
Incredibly cute game! Playing as a -i don't know, dust? lol- felt so sweet haha
Thanks! Yup, they're canonically the "dust buddies", lol.
It's so cute and chill! Made me smile
Thanks! That's the goal :)
