Ranked from 8 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.
How does the game fit the theme?
The game takes place within a shifting cubic dreamworld. Each face of the cube represents a unique and surreal biome—a 'strange place' that the player must navigate to find relics and finally awaken
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I use Unity 6.3 (URP) and Iprogrammed all the core gameplay mechanics from scratch during the jam, including the player movement, camera systems, and the cube-face rotation logic. The 3D assets are external, they were downloaded from free sources in the Asset Store, and full credit has been provided to the original creators on the game credits.

What an interesting concept! It looks like a really cool start for a puzzle-adventure or maybe a puzzle-platformer. I see you've decided to go with the adventure genre. Anyway, nice work, and good luck!
Thanks a lot for the feedback! You're right, I went with the adventure/exploration route to focus on the 'strange' feeling of the world. As a Technical Artist, this jam project is the foundation for a much more visual-heavy experience I’m planning. Once I resume development, I'll be adding custom shaders, VFX, and a more polished environment to really bring the cube's faces to life. Good luck with your project as well, I will try it out and thanks for stopping by!
To be honest, I played lots of games in the jam and I rarely find anything that relates to the concept "strange places". But you my friend made your case. Your game is related to "strange places" with every face of the cube being a different place. Even just for that you got high rating from me! Love the game, well done
Aww thanks bro ♥ I really appreciate those words! I’m so glad you felt the 'Strange Places' theme through the different faces of the cubethat was exactly the core idea I wanted to explore but I didn't have the time to build the biomes
As a Tech Artist, I'm planning to keep working on this project to push those environments with more custom shaders, VFX, and sound design. Thanks a lot for the high rating and for taking the time to share your feedback!! Much apreciated!
It's a pretty unusual game
Thanks for playing!! ♥ it's super empty but it will be beter I promise
I see what you were going for! Interesting. Do you rotate the world around the player when you go over the edge? I wonder what game mechanics you could use with this system. What would you have done if you had more time available?
Thanks so much for the feedback! The world is what rotates, not the player
I really wanted to showcase my work as a Technical Artist with custom shaders, VFX, and terrains, but I ran out of time during the jam to implement them as I envisioned. I’m planning to resume the project soon to add all those visual details, sound design, and a system to navigate between any face of the cube. Since 3D modeling isn't my main focus, I’ll be using external assets for the models so I can double down on the technical and environmental side. Thanks again for taking the time to ask!
I liked this game, and I'm asking myself how people can make such things in 7 days
I rated your game, feel free to do the same with mine
Thanks a lot, man! I'm really glad you liked the concept. It’s definitely incomplete as I prioritized the core mechanics for this jam, but I’m happy the foundation is there. I’ll check out your game for sure and leave some feedback soon
The game looks good but has some playback issues.
I hope you try my game : https://7mood1.itch.io/strangespace
Thanks for playing!! Yeah Totally! I can't really finished it as I envisioned, it lacks all the art, VFX and sound.... but I will do it in the next days (outside the jam). I will definitely try your game!
