Cool game!
I love yume-nikki style games, this one is very cool! Although, I find a bit annoying the time limit on a game with secrets, and also the “faces” level can be very janky and time-consuming with the weird collisions, but I very much enjoyed the visuals and audio. Kudos to you!
REALLY COOL THING i have not yet finished it but what i’ve played was still really fun
Bro is literally Salvador Dali. The amount of creativity here is incredible. I really like the artstyle. Well, controls and hitboxes sometimtes feels bad. Overall it's a very decent game. Great job!
Now that was a strange place! i really liked the fever dream aesthetic of it all, breaking the rules of computer code, playing mini games, hopping on literal butterfly and ride it, getting stuck in the crowd of people… it was a fun trip! ill gladly do it again, 10/10 !
the minigames are very fun
Fun mini games, I loved how the environments didn't feel much out of place and were very computery-like, and the mouse eating a cheese in the maze level :) Audio was amazing, great job!
Super fun and creative!
Very interesting game, I love the butterfly, and the items were easy enough to figure out how you use them. Cool idea!
I like the windows 95 aesthetic. Very creative about depicting the world of deleted files.
What an experience! The world you created feels truly bizarre and immersive, and I enjoyed exploring it! That being said, the timer and being forced to restart the whole game feels like a weird design choice, especially when paired with required secrets that encourage the player to take extra time exploring each area. I was never able to find the third "missing file" despite ~5 trips through the game...
Deleo is such a fun and chaotic take on the theme. Exploring a bizarre world of discarded files is a really strong interpretation of Strange Places, and the concept of being deleted with only 283 seconds left creates immediate tension.
The humor in this game is fantastic. The stick of butter with butterfly wings genuinely made me laugh, and the fish suddenly eating the player was such an unexpected and great moment. The little visual jokes scattered throughout; the cat with an explosion behind it, the computer mouse made of Swiss cheese; give the whole experience personality.
I also really liked the pop-ups on screen. They fit the digital theme perfectly and add to the feeling that you’re navigating a broken or corrupted system. The randomness of the adventure works in its favor too. It feels chaotic, but intentionally so, like digging through a trash bin of forgotten internet artifacts.
For a solo dev project made in a week, this is really impressive. It’s creative, weird, and confident in its tone.
Great job.
Yep, pretty sure that's what's going on in my computer most of the time (not quite joking : I still can't figure out why I can't switch to a qwerty keyboard layout, but it probably involves a dead cat somewhere in the abyss -- by the way folks PLEASE use physical key mappings for WASD movement T_T)
I was reassured to read the game is virus free, just like I prefer my salads guaranteed gasoline-free (makes you wonder about other salads that are not guaranteed so, right ?)
A suggestion if I may : deletion task timers in windows have consistently been erratic across eras (https://xkcd.com/612/), I think there was a nice opportunity for a joke (but also a perhaps a grace period/ray of hope for the slow like me who struggle with the 283 seconds time limit)
I felt like I had a psychadelic episode, playing this game. Good job
Really liked the game! The butterfly joke made me chuckle
The art looks great!!! :) really nice visuals
Great adaptation of the theme. Loved the cat aim minigame the most :D But the whole game was great, wish I didn't get stuck in the pencil world for 30 seconds and actually found out about the end. May give it a try some other time. Good job!
I was trying so hard to get a high score on the cat game that i completely forgot that there was another game... x)
Anyway, i really love the concept (and the images really made me laugh)
love UI design of windows 95.
the starting sound made me thought my own pc fans start blowing up lol :p
I liked this a lot! Very cool aesthetic. it fts the theme perfectly, every space was unique and interesting and you managed to fit in a lot of stuff! Good job
