This is really ambitious for a week, congrats on getting so much accomplished in that time. There are some bugs but it doesn't ruin the game. Really like the idea, great job

Thank you so much <3 I'll try your game too!

Really fun game! blown away with how much you completed in the short amount of time you had to make it!

Developer

Thank you <3 Yea the flipside to it was a buggy mess that I couldn't fix in time :D I'm happy to hear it was still enjoyable :)

Loved how much personality shone through in this game, a pokemon-like auto-battler is a cool idea too. Very ambition putting it all together from scratch in a week!

I think if you make your scope way smaller next time you'll be quite successful. The game idea you choose should feel like it can be achieved in half the time of the game jam, because you'll inevitably be delayed by bugs and want to have plenty of time to polish before the end.

You should be quite proud for delivering this game, though. Despite the bugs, I enjoyed my time with it :D

Thank you so much! Feels good to hear some kind words about my buggy mess :D Yea I will definitely reduce my scope for the next jam and put focus on polishing/juice. I'm very happy that you had fun with the game :)

This is very ambitious for a 1 week project dude, lots of mechanics going on here, good job getting this made in time, I bet this was a massive learning experience too. A few bugs here and there, but the art was actually really nice, I enjoyed catching new Mons after winning fights if you added more juice and polish to this it could be something really cool. Thanks so much for sharing :)

Developer

Thank you so much homie! Yea it definitely was pretty ambitious :D That's unfortunately also the reason for the bugs, didn't have enough time to fix all of them.

Big thanks for your kind review :)

Hey Homie, loved the game how were you able to fit in 2d visuals with Unreal Engine? I like the concept however there might be some issue with restart run do check it out. Overall had fun !!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much homie! Yea that stuff happens when I actually don't put any code on a button lmao. Sorry for that.

For the 2D visuals it was pretty easy, it's just a normal actor with a "Paper Sprite" component on it. You can right-click images/textures to turn them into sprites, put those sprites in the component and there you go :D unfortunately I didn't have enough time to setup shadows for the sprites :(
