Love the graphics and gamefeel. I like the idea that you have to bring your master tea all the time, really hammers in how annoying they are, but I think the timing is a bit too harsh. Couldn’t get any endings with my play time, I bet with more practice I could finish it but couldn’t quite find the time, a pause function would be greatly appreciated.
Feels like a premium game, great job!
Edit: sorry for duplicate comment if you can still see it, something weird happened
Nice visual, the 3D is charming and the drawings appealing! I enjoyed the experience.
Her incessant need for tea ruins the game flow. Even after mastering the art of tea and making 2-3 tea the time she aks for one, it was way too annoying and time-consumming to focus on the rest of the game. I finally chose to lose to progress... If you wanted her needs to put the player in panic, maybe make her asks for two different things (like there is two kind of tea) but not all the time, just sometimes so it catches the player off-guard eventually (and with more time). So it will be organisation panic instead of a repetitive action.
I hoped there would be new potions that fill up the heart bar more so you have more time, as the next potions become more complex, but the only one that slightly help is the latex. :/ Blank, heat and hypno doesn't seems to worth the time to make them.
I tried to spam the blank potion and I see it could fill the whip bar, but it's so slow I think I will try later if I have the will. Plus you're blinded each time with the adorable master face filling the screen.
I think I could finish the game without losing, but 70 % of my time would be making tea, so...
Is there always a prototype recipe generated or is there an end? I could finish the game with the cure but there was still prototypes to do.
For a long time I thought the gem ingredient was cheese... ^^"
Great potential. :)
Noted, noted, noted. Thank you the comment
I totally agree with every point and I can even say that I even implemented the ability for the master to request various things. Almost the only reason she doesn't do it now is that I simply didn't have time to make a sprite for something else.
And yeah, it probably wouldn't hurt to make the potions stronger. It's better to make the game too easy than too difficult.
And no, if you've discovered all the ingredients for a medicine, you've research every recipe in the game. And you don't need to make more prototypes. It would be better to show on the screen after you've drink the prototype what you've research and if there's anything else.
Thank you for playing <3P.S. Oh yeah, the gem really does look like cheese. To be honest, it looks like anything but gem :)
The game starts with no explanation or tutorial, the master keeps asking for tea too fast.
We can't pause the game.
I tried my best but it's way too hard, there are too many ingredients, it gets confusing, and the master doesn't give you enough time to experiment with potions.
Doing this without getting fired more than once and not knowing how to play is impossible, the good thing is that your progress with the unlocked potions is saved.
I tried giving her special potions but it doesn't help that much.
This game does have a lot of effort put into it, sadly I couldn't unlock any scenes.
Thank you for your feedback
I totally agree with every point. Especially about game balance. For some reason this is a common problem of mine. I should focus on this more.
And the lack of a tutorial. This is something I only remembered on the last day. I've done some things to nudge the player in the right direction, but it's clearly not enough.
And I failed to show how much potions help. (If you will replay, just start spamming blank potions as soon as you unlock their recipe.)
(And also, due to randomness, you might be unlucky and it might take you a long time to unlock your first potion. One more problem)
+ You found a bug I didn't know about.
Thank you for playing. Next time I will try to address my mistakes
Very lovely premise, and I love the little yips from the demanding "Master".
Would love to see a splash of color on the presentation, but fully understand it can add upon an already critical time budget <3
Thanks <3
I love this yips too. It was a lot of fun adding all of this sounds
