Congratz on making a game!

It's a nice solo game. A little more effort on the camera and adding more juice is a good tip I think. Anyway good work !

Congrats on your first solo game, that’s a big achievement. Bringing Greek mythology into the design gives it a distinct identity, and having a complete start-to-finish experience is already a strong accomplishment. Keep it up, you’re definitely making progress.

Hi

Good stuff for a solo dev job.

Very nice.

I liked how straight to the point this was.

I liked the theme of Olympian gods (one of my favourite things)

I had a few difficulties.

1 I think i did not see the whole game screen meaning i did not see my Hp for example.

2 It was quite sluggish to have a quick and heavy attack after each other.

3 Sound ques are a very big thing in this sort of game and games as a whole.

4 I would have loved to be able to hit the bats from a kneeling position.

I felt like this game could easily have things in its future. This gave me such a Castlevania feel.

Very good job, keep it up =)

Here is our game for your entertainment =)

Good game friend! Is this really your first game? Is already a super good job! Only one week to make your first game, you are brave. This game is a great start for a game dev path, if you keep practicing you will create some goooood games one day. I enjoyed this experience, congratulations!

Thank you so much! This is my first game, though I have some experience in scripting and had a full week to build it (half term holidays!). I was following the Brackeys tutorial when I realised this game jam was going on, and so decided to scrap that and instead build for this!

This is a great effort for your first game, especially considering you made it in a week! I liked the story, and I found the sword swing very satisfying.
I played the web version, and I will say that the size/resolution of the window kept me from seeing some of the instructions all at once or when I was supposed to. For example, I encountered the first bat and then saw the "this is an enemy!" text after he was already dead. I wasn't able to figure out how to make the game fullscreen if there's already a toggle for that. I think adding the full screen button toggle in the itch game options might have fixed this for me (though tbh, I don't use Godot, so there's potentially a better option in your build settings).
Congratulations on completing the game jam!

Hi! Thank you very much, and the fullscreen issue is actually a bug in the bat's pathfinding logic, it's supposed to stay within 200 units from its text box, but that gets overruled by the patrol logic during the update process. I've fixed the bug now, but the game files have been locked, so I can't upload. Sorry! Great work on your submission!

Hi! Sorry about that, something's gone wrong with the web upload. If you try with the download, that should hopefully work?
