Chill management game. Ui again professional level and altogether pleasant gameplay. Love the writing.
"Je sais Spa" ^^
Played the post-jam cleanup. Some funny bug: you can grab Jessica token and drop her anywhere.
The coach doesn't have to be here for the cinema or the spa, so I let him work for money while Lindsey was enjoying her life . It was a bit sad to see...
The characters are appealing and the animation is nice. The city UI is pleasant. I enjoyed it. :) Also liked the humour!
Your desire to grab Jessica has been noted ^^ But thank you for the kind words, gonna look into these bugs and fix them right away.
I can't stop winning!!!! (or there is a bug in casino and you can't lose money)
Now let's get more serious. As a demo for the game, I really enjoyed it.
It was annoying try to see all dialog options but it's more problem with lack of a long-term goals. After affinity 12 you don't have to do anything. But that's understandable. This game is for jam. And this is simply a problem of lack of time.
I love game management, and you've made a pretty good prototype. All the information is on the screen, so I don't have to go into separate menu to see important information.
I really want to see the finished version of the game if you decide to pursue its development. With more mechanics and not temporary art.
Oh and some more bugs:
At the end of the week, it seems like you don't lose your money on rent.
If someone is in a place, this place cannot close. (The pool is open until 10:00 pm) (But this is most likely your failsafe)
Theee casino might be bugged yeah xD And yes, rent never hits, so there's too many faucets, not enough drains.
But thank you for the feedback, its great <3 I too get irked by management games where you have to dive too far down menus to get vital information.
Still rocking back and forth whether to continue this or not :/ all comes down to artist, expectations and budget
The game is polished.
I couldn't progress text past the "There's only one phone number left on the sheet, the rest have been torn off...".
So I had to restart (the multiple choice didn't appear, before that I paused the time).
The game needs save files.
I beated jessica multiple times but nothing changed.
I think I unlocked all the lewd scenes with affinity 12.
Once you get the optimal strategy the gameplay becomes repetitive, but I guess that will change with more content.
I can see this game suffering from scope creep in the future, becareful.
Good job and good luck with the development! Cool streams.
Thanks, bud; yeah, the sudden progression stop is strange, I might take a look at it today.
And yes, there's certainly a lot of Jessica stuff that never got into the game. There was a fork in the road about whether I should work on more Lindsey or start branching out to cover the other characters, and I put it to a vote; Lindsey came out on top.
When it comes to things like the progression curve and repetativeness, because this was a jam I went in with very low long-term planning, now that the jam is over, if there's interest in it, I can take a step back and ensure there is a more overarching plan for the progression, that also has a bit more variety than just "make affection go up".
But thanks for trying it out and the feedback. :) Don't be a stranger in the streams.
The story and characters are really cute, and the character art feels polished.
Also like the small animations, make the game feel more lively.
Thank you, I must remember to give props to Fleur De Lis, who stepped in at the second-to-last day of the jam and helped out with animations, it was my first time playing with Spine2D but it feels like a very strong tool to make things come to "life" (once weird clipping glitches doesn't turn smexy scenes into horror scenes.)
Good Game, i liked, I feel like I sometimes lose myself a little π
High praise, thank you <3 and your entry is solid as well. Not sure what you mean by losing yourself, you are a winner in my book <3
