Wow, the graphics are really cool! It feels just like playing on a Game Boy, which is super nostalgic. It would be much more challenging if the boss had more attack patterns, like an X-cross directional attack. Simple and fun!

A pretty well polished arcade title. I loved the pacing and was happy to see a win condition in play. The art style draws you in and is really nostalgic. A pretty simple gameplay formula that takes seconds to work out. You can beat the game in about a minute, I would have liked to see more variety in hazards. Sounded great too. Maybe a series of bosses could have added more cameos and more play time, even if they all had the same attack pattern. Also, you nailed the theme down really well :) Overall a solid entry to this month's jam! Well done.
Thanks for the feedback! Your suggestions sound really good. I was also thinking about having multiple objectives rather than only defending from the attacks. For example, the arrows are limited and random arrow pickups will spawn in the map, which will force the players to take more complex decisions since they will eventually run out of arrows. This is probably a more low cost way to make the game more interesting. But your suggestions are really helpful for turning this game into a complete experience. Thank you for playing :)
