I just want to say that I'm blown away by this game. From sound and music, through the art (and the color palette), the really nice post-processing effects, to the writing, this game is clearly one of the biggest gems of this jam. Plus I'm also a huge dungeon crawler fan so, while im not super familiar with PC-98 titles, I love the presentation.
Very lovely art and complementary music, well done! I think I got lost 3 or 4 times. Really like the footprints to let me know I've been here before :D . Curios how long it took you to draft out the level and how difficult was it to map it out. Congrats on building this!
Nice Game, amazing art! I love the art and mood of the game, very cozy winter. I personally like the blur effect you used around the text box. Great work!
Beautiful game :`) I got in my feels quite a bit. Lovely and consistent art and ui and everything feels well put together. The dialogue was very well written
I love all the little details, like the eyes blinking and the wind howling. I cannot figure out where I'm going or where I've been though. The footsteps seem all in the wrong place, and it is really confusing. The appearance of the game is incredible. The art really fits together, and the sound design is terrific.
The art is really lovely! It was a great atmosphere, accompanied by the perfect music. The walking mechanic was so unique and interesting. Great submission!
Nice game! The atmosphere made me kind of melancholic, but in a good way. Loved the dialouges as well. I had to get used to the controls at first, but the footsteps made it easier for me. Well done!
Wow, really a unique idea. Not boring, well designed sprites, lovely music! Also loved the footstep mechanic, made the experience a lot easier for me. Also seems like a lot of work put on the dialogues. Loved it!
Super gorgeous game, with a strong and well made visual identity ✨💖❄️
The complementary colours create a very unique atmosphere, reinforced by the narration.
Love it a lot !
Congratulations for this work 🌠
Really nice game !
I’ve played it multiple times to try to finish my map, and I found out that the order in which you find the buildings is hardcoded, which I think is really smart :)
Great job !
⚠️ Spoiler: Map of building locations ⚠️
The checkered flag is the starting position
The red flags are the locations of the buildings
Wow, so cool you mapped it out! When implementing the movement and progression system, we did not know how many locations we would have in the end, and if the order of finding them would matter, so I just went with making it this way to be more elastic with the time limit. Also I know how frustrating it can be to find one last thing, so having multiple was a good way to make it easier.
Super atmospheric and still manages to feel cozy while being mysterious. Sadly I have the spatial awareness of a turkey and just wandered very very aimlessly. I did find the yellow tower, I also tried following footprints for far too long before working out they were my own 🤣
Really cool UI and amazing ambience, all in 72 hours is impressive.
One of my favorites so far ! Such an original UI, i thought it would be hard to navigate the place with it but it turned out a lot more intuitive than i initially thought, congrats on making such an atypical and fun game !
This is probably one of my favourite entires. Really creative and well made in all regards. I wish you the best of luck!
The atmosphere and vibes are great! I really liked the maze mechanic where you leave behind a trail! but It was still a bit hard to find my way.
There used to be a game called Club Penguin, and it had minigames, and this is very similar to one of them. It's fantastic. I don't usually see mechanics like this in games of this type, but you've implemented the mechanics very well. Great job! I'd be happy if you took a look at our game too :3
