This so unique! I don't think I've ever seen a game do something like this. Great job!!

WOW!!!!!

This is such a wild concept, I love it! Penrose stairs as a board game is genius, and the way the board slowly turns chaotic as you and the AI curse tiles makes each game feel unpredictable. The hopping and dice sounds are super satisfying, and the staircase visuals are really sharp. I didn’t expect to get so hooked!!! Well done!

ALSO, if you like brain-teasing puzzle platformers, make sure to check out our game!

Penrose stairs as a board game is such a weirdly good combo. I like how it starts pretty harmless, then you and the AI keep looping and cursing tiles with rules, so the whole board slowly turns into a chaotic mess you kinda helped create. The hop and dice sounds are satisfying, and the staircase art looks nice too. Ended up being way more addictive than I expected.

Ok this is hilarious and such a cool concept. I really love the aspect of creating the board game as you play - I don't think I've ever seen this before. The art is zany and the idea fits well with the theme. Ok, bugs/feedback:

  • I played on web (chrome) and the bottom of the screen cut off just enough so I could still play but not really see everything
  • The green swirly tile was a bit unintuitive - I thought I had softlocked the game (screenshot below)
  • I would have liked more choice/agency to get a bit of a strategy. There was some goofy interactions with the go back causing a ton of damage, but I felt a lot of times that the game kinda played itself (so maybe roll 2 dice and pick one, or have some tiles give you a choice to attack vs heal, go forward vs back, etc.)

This was so much fun. If you could add a multiplayer (even local) that would be amazing. That and I think a little polish on the art and dice faces would go a long way toward replayability (tbf, I already added this one to my favs collection)

I thought this was confusing - I thought I broke the game

Very cool combat board game set on Penrose stairs, where both the player and NPCs keep moving in a looping path while setting traps until one of them dies. Interesting concept and use of the environment for gameplay.

Really cool idea that the event on each field is not given from the start, but you decide the events as part of the game.

The game has its own unique charm. Simple but still interesting. Great Work

Infinitely repayable! Design, even though I lost thrice in a row, the win after it felt magnificent!!

PS: The base scaling of the game looked a bit off, fixed after zooming 125% on the page

Very fun, lots of strategies emerging as the board fills up. Playing in full screen mode the scoreboard was overlapping the score above the persons head which made it difficult to read on certain squares. Also, the squares could probably take up more of the screen, thats where the action is taking place.

Wow! So simple and yet so addicting. To be honest, the game overall would just need polish, but the foundation is good as is. If you decided to keep developing on it in the future, you have an amazingly solid concept on your hands. The game and stage can get crazier, what happens can get weirder, and so on and so forth.

Feedback:

  • background audio. would help with adding atmosphere.

Overall, GREAT job. Killed it.

It's so simple, but so fun. I want this into a board game for real.
