You're on an journey down this mountain. Originally I had more scenery in mind, but 3D is hard lol.

Nice animation on wheel turning, feels nice to smoothly dodge the cacti.  Managed to get 499m but really wanted 500m, so I went back and eventually got 620m!  The difficulty doesn't seem to ramp up so it feels like its a battle of attrition (and a tiny bit of motion sickness) but I had fun playing.

Developer(+1)

Indeed, my apologies for the mundane difficulty (it just repeats the same pattern because I didn't design a proper chunk randomizer).

Thanks for giving it a college try anyway and for offering some feedback! And, sorry too about the motion sickness :/

Ahhhhhhhh I love the absurdist movie Rubber :D This is fantastic. I love that the controls are loosey goosey as we roll along and try not to hit the cactus'. The movements are honestly the most fun part! I do wish there was some sound to it, but overall I loved the angle you chose and how you executed it! I would love to see how the tire would work with sand dunes or little power ups as well! Great work!

Developer

I forgot about that movie! Maybe this was the wheel on the other end of the axle haha.
The game definitely could have used more content - which is an aspect I want to improve on in future jams or projects in general.
But yeah, thanks very much for playing!

I wish there was sound or some background music (I assume there's no sound, and it's not a bug),. The animations are great, especially with such a minimalist "character". I think it'd be nice ifthere were some other elements to the gameplay as well like pickups or something to mix things up. Also, 3D, yay!

Developer

Yeah there isn't sound, sorry! I had more in mind but as usual ran out of time.
I even had a pickup all finished! Although it didn't have any actual gameplay effect so I excluded it from the level lol.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

I go down hill and I hit cactus : D

Developer

Heck yeah 🌵!

I really enjoy the lighting and slightly unhinged controls in this game which are fitting for a wheel that lost control of its life :)

I love idea of rolling down the hill as a wheel. I picture you falling off of a car and just having your own seperate journey. The particles were also really cool and used well. I do think the controls were a bit off because of the isometric-ish view of the camera though.

Developer

Yeah that was the concept! I wish I had more time to convey narrative through the game.

And I agree the camera angle is a little strange. I wanted to experiment a bit since I don't really do 3D much.

It was a fun game. I didn’t get any sound but the controls feel great and the speed can go crazy at some point. It remind me of the dino game.

Gameplay wise you use the same patern so it’s a bit boring and worse, it create a safespot. I stop at highscore 15000 to see how far the speed can go, and you did a good job because the game was still runing quite well even at this point

Developer

Yeah sorry about the repeating pattern... I really didn't expect anyone to play for so long — 15000 is impressive! Thank you for the thorough session!

Loved the environment and concept!

The camera angle and movement of the wheel was really well done and kept me wanting to go for higher scores! I wanted to beat the highest score in your screenshot and managed a score of 526!

Congrats on a great entry :D

Thanks so much for playing! I had a great time assembling the look and feel, so I'm glad it was effective :)

Fun little game!

The controls feel good, the animation for the wheel falling over is great.

I just wish there was more to keep me playing, little power ups or some ramps would have been fun :)

Well done!

Thank you! I spent a large portion of jam time polishing the feel and not much time making actual content.
I did particularly enjoy making the wheel animation though. It ended up being one of the most economical additions.
