How does the game fit the theme?
Our application for the theme was based on a meta joke.
We all know the infamous (AI-generated) game ads, that promote Game(-mechanics) that the actual advertised games do not include.
Hence we would like to take a step further and take you to the strange places, where "AI" overtook the actual game development itself and created those simple mechanics, we hardly would pass as actual game mechanic.
Oh and maybe there are easter eggs in strange places... i guess?
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All assets except the font were made during the jam interval

That is one.....interesting? game?
Not the kind of game I thought I'd see this jam but here we are
It was quite funny
I enjoyed going through it
good job?
hah, i became super saiyan! im not sure if it made any difference to my first run though. i have a soft spot for jam games like this, it's always great to experience these wtf games where the devs just thought they'll make something original to make others laugh and have a good time. thanks for this game! also the main menu theme is such a banger!
Well done. Now this game actually exists. Not sure if it is good or bad news. :D
Congrats!
Really loved the ai slop ad game. This game has... interesting visuals and the music is hitting extremely hard. Loved the references! Pirate level was a bit confusing at first, but randomly clicking in the level sure helped. Gameplay wasn't for me and it was too short; I wish there were more (difficult) mechanics adding depth.
Strange and goofy game, I enjoyed it more than I probably should!
Great to have your feedback Jonoy!
Yea we totally get it - initial plans were to add even more stages with more difficult pathing and sub-mechanics - but we had to downscale since our time budget was very limited.
Love to hear even though the game itself wasn't your cup of tea, that you enjoyed the music assets!
Thank you for playing!
I got stuck on the pirate ship but the game is definately a strange place! Good job
I mean this in a nice way: but what the hell did I just play lol - super strange indeed and I love the idea. My only suggestion is that it was too short, I quite enjoyed the pirate level because it required me to explore the map a bit, but the others felt straight forward and didn't require much going around. Short but fun entry, I had a good time!
Yes - that is the impression Macroslop AI Games wants to achieve :).
We have multiple plans for polish, features and additional levels... however as we both a parents we only had the evening sprints to get stuff done. Nevertheless thank you OneMoreChange for the input and great to hear you enjoyed the submission!
An interesting game, definitely strange!
I love the concept and the brief storyline, but I didn't really get the game play for a bit at the start. Once I realised it was point and click I got into it, but finding where to click was a bit of a challenge. The Pirate one was quite confusing and the hit boxes for clicking were unclear. I don't know if that was the intention or not!
The art style wasn't for me to be honest, and more levels would be nice. I also managed to click on the orb behind the Godot and not the Godot itself so got a confusing message about coming back later.
Good effort at a strange place.
Thank you for your feedback Mr Cat Games!
Yea after playing some other entries I realized having a highlight function or some sort of tooltip could be useful for input communication.
Considering the art, since this was our third jam we'd participate in, we wanted to try something new, as before we sticked to pixel-art. The first idea was trying out 3D, but that probably would have caused even less polish. Hence we or I shifted towards Vector-graphics, but I too prefer the look and nostalgia of pixel-art.
Yea the orb is part of the easter eggs, but I think its currently bugged in the version of the game :(.
Thanks again for playing!
Really cool point and click game., graphics are pretty good.
Nice comcept!
I was confused on the pirate ship but figured it out.
Fun stuff
