Nice Project! I really liked the art style, it was minimalistic but very clean. Making your Instects stronger and stronger felt pretty cool.
I couldn't really understand how to get more insects, so I think a better explanation for the mechanics would be nice.
I love the atmosphere of the game!
Making it like a roguelike was a nice choice! I suggest putting a variety of mobs spawning.
Had a little map UI problem where I had to scroll every time I opened the map..
You have the makings of a roguelike here, maybe an RTS if you integrate the select and drag feature
Very atmospheric and neat usage of boundary bramble for the walls. BTW how did you setup the full screen button? Usually there is an itch.io banner with a full screen button.

Very cool atmosphere. I especially like how the damage sound, combined with the attack rate on the bigger ants, makes it sound like a heartbeat. That fits well with the eerie music.
If I'm understanding correctly, you can feed an ant to a mouth to get an upgrade? I found it very hard to feed it the right ant. I ended up losing all my upgraded guys that way...
Are there health pickups hidden in the walls, or do you just heal in certain corridors?
Yes, it gives a random improvement depending on the 'price' of the insect. The more improvements an insect has, the higher its price. Health regeneration occurs with each new room. Thanks for the comment!
Controlling my little swarm is fun, and the pickups being for individuals is interesting because it hurts more when you lose your overpowered frontline bug. I got to around 80 rooms on my best attempt and never found the nest, how far away is the best and how big is the map? From the scrollbars on the map screen it seems scarily huge.
The mouth hazard made me laugh. I saw it and hovered over and got no info so I walked my little guys over the top and it ate one. Made me laugh - it was very obvious in hindsight.
I didn't add an ending to the game, and due to the spaghetti code of the map, its size can range from 20 to ~500 rooms. Thanks for the comment!
I love instect/bacteria kind of games, the swarm idea is cool. It is very polished for the time we had at the game jam. I believe with more time when the user get some choices (fight or not fight, how to fight) this could even get better. Great job!
Cool game.
Art and atmosphere is great, tense. Exploration and map are done well. Not sure what I was doing in combat. Could manage to explore about 40 sites. For the most part it felt like exploring a maze. Wasn’t sure what I could do better. Maybe I should choose enemies better, or avoid some battles, etc.
The game is polished overall. Well done on the submission!
