How does the game fit the theme?
You’re acting in a weird theatre production where you must not only perform your role, but also move the platforms to keep the show going.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The game idea had a POC but was completely redone during the jam.
We also had an empty Godot project with menu and a sound player.

Very interesting twist.  It gave a nice challenge, but a satisfying accomplishment.  GJ.

Such a fun game to play! The Nokia ringtone had me laughing out loud! Great work to the entire team that worked on it!

Enjoyment: Overall I had a great time. There were only 3 small details i noticed, which annoyed me a bit. First off, would loved an additional input/button to reset the second part of each level, as Q reset back to creating the movement pattern part. Second I'd like it better, if the recorded path would already be displayed right after the first repetition, maybe this is a bug/unintended that it takes an additional try to reveal it. Third, most certainly was a bug, after pressing the reset stage button (q), sometimes it would reset a second time without input - was maybe the wrong input signal connected to ?

Gameplay: Easy controls - although I always prefer a separate button to the arrows for jumping. Got stuck quite a bit in the playthrough between platforms, no big deal to the reset scene function. Dunno if it was intended to have the forces of the self-controlled platforms, it was funny to shoot the main character through the roof.

Innovation: That was refreshing - classic platformer with an exciting twist to it. Furthermore I can imagine you can iterate upon this new mechanic further. Top category for my review.

Theme: Even without the main character I would have bought the implementation of the theme as a stage play, as the stage can be mysterious magical and strange of course.... Mechanically speaking I thought the moving the platform in the rear view playthrough partly also presses towards the theme. well done.

Visuals: While not my personal favorite, you've done a great job at having a consistent art style that also helped give the polish feeling - well done in the visuals department

Audio: I like the background tune, its very supporting the gameplay in mind and I love the sfx queues from time to time, subtle but strong - very good job in the audio department.

This is really cool! It's really clever how your movement is saved for the behind the scenes segment of the act, I like that a lot. The art is also good, and I like the gasps of horror from the audience when I fall to my death. Great work!

What I liked:

- This is such a clever, unique idea for a game.  Wwitching between being the character and being the setting is so original and then I thought the framing of it was perfect, being based on Dante's inferno and a theatrical performance. Lev's movement and animation really felt theatrical and I just found it really immersive

- The audience reactions and gasps were such a nice touch. It made me feel a lot more invested and I found myself gasping too

- The background art and curtain and audience were excellent. Loved the artistic feeling of this game!

What I thought could be improved:

- I think my biggest issue was that in the levels where you manage the setting, Lev is really hard to control and it can feel pretty unfair at times. I tend to like difficult platformers and challenges but I found myself shooting Lev through the ceiling with what I thought was a relatively slight touch. I noticed later that there are lines showing where Lev is gonna move which helped but even still, there was a number of times where I put a platform in what seemed like a very good spot for him and it still wasn't right.

- There was a lot of noise with the platforms. I ignored a ton of them and while I understand maybe you were trying to have multiple different solutions to levels, it felt to me more like clutter honestly. This was especially difficult in the after levels because those platforms just got in the way. I understand that may have been intentional to increase the difficulty but it didn't feel fun, it just felt more annoying to me to try and avoid them, especially since the after levels were so much more difficult.

Overall, I genuinely loved your concept and a lot of the execution was great. I think fine tuning some of the gameplay elements could leave you with a really enjoyable, wonderful game!

Thank you for the detailed feedback, and we agree that the level design would've needed a bit more tuning, but decided to focus on other aspects of the game since we had limited time, if we come back to this game we definitelywill work on it, Thank you for playing :)

Very unique and innovative gameplay, took me a moment before I figured out what was happening :) Loved the tiny details like the idle animation and the dudes moving the platforms, and audio was also amazing. Great job overall!

That was really interesting! The art was great, the concept was really original. I did not expect to be behind the scenes helping my previous round. Great work!
