Very good narration and gameplay, very solid!
Really nice game and the narration was great!
Thank you!! I played Ding and really enjoyed it as well!
A pretty cool game, and I really enjoyed finding all the items. Although, I was a bit confused at first when I clicked where items were supposed to be but got it wrong. I eventually got it though. The narration was a nice touch as well. Good job!
Ah yeah there's been a few people who did the same thing!! could definitely be a little more clear but glad you enjoyed overall!
Classic "finding anomalies" game well executed. I would have liked a button to exit because I have to use Alt+F4, or maybe im stupid xD. Anyway good job !
A common concept of finding anomalies and correcting them; what i particularly liked about this one was the initial narration and the voiceover. What i would suggest is to: add the abillity to skip the intro, add the commands somewhere because it's possible to forget or misremember them and maybe you could also add a pause menu. Still, for a solo project not bad at all!
Appreciate the feedback!!! Definitely a lot more polish to be done post-jam
Cool concept and really nice voice narration, it makes the game immersive right away. I liked the idea of finding where the missing objects ended up. A bit confusing at times, but overall a solid entry!
Nice game! Really liked the visuals and the audio. Took a moment for me to realize I hadn't to click the place where the object was missing, but to find it in another room and bring it back.
Also loved the line "classic tortoise - frog mismatch" :D
Glad you enjoyed!! You're not the first person who thought that - definitely something I could make a little more clear.
Really liked the intro and narration, it sets the tone right away. I also like how the gameplay requires you not only to identify what’s wrong, but to locate where it ended up, which makes it more engaging. The static effect is a nice touch and enhances the atmosphere.
Appreciate the kind words!!
Cool! I really like the concept, the visuals, and especially the voice narration — it makes the whole thing super immersive! I also love how the photo doesn’t show everything, and sometimes the “missing piece” ends up being outside the frame, that was a really surprise!
It was a bit hard for me personally haha, and I was a bit of confused when the required number changed from 3 to 4 between level 1 and 2 at first too. Still, Great Work — Good luck for the post-jam!
Really appreciate the feedback!!! The jump from 3-4 is definitely a little confusing. For the time being, I updated the description of the game to say how many deviations are in each room, but that's definitely something worth implementing in game. Thanks!
Really cool concept, the voice narration is really good! Some UI or maybe the voice telling me how many things i have to find would be nice. its a little hard to see some of the details that are missing in the pictures but still overall a good submission and definitely 5 stars for theme!
Appreciate the feedback!! I agree a deviation counter would be good - I updated the description of the game as a temp fix. Thanks!
ok u want constructive feedback.
enjoyment: the first level i enjoyed most, the second not so much and had to read one of the comments to get a guide, the third was fine. the ending made me chuckle a lot with beer around XD
gameplay: u find items, u hold right button mouse (i would prefer toggle but it is also fine) and u click on the item for the 3 levels. i can see for some that it can be frustrating for others as u have to look at EVERY single detail on the 4 pictures and have to find them in strange places that are too out of the ordinary to find (for me that is a good challenge but for others it may be frustrating)
innovation: i have played games that have a detective element where u have to find an anomaly, but not identify them (as shown in this game). for me, this is a bit of a creative concept but not entirely original.
theme: i see the theme by finding items in strange places, the strangeness is emphasised by level 3 as it seems to be a crime scene yet u still have to look for objects.
visuals: i like the static effect that has shown it is more like a timeline and the layout of the house, though not entirely impeccable as the door isnt really animated
audio: i like the narrating, though it can overlap easily in the first level. there is not much to the ambience. just clock ticking, maybe a bit more of eerie sounds as u find more objects in later levels would be more immersive. i like the footsteps as well, although there is a minor issue where if ur in the air there are still those footstep sounds so maybe dont play footsteps while in the air or just disable jumping entirely?
overall, one of the niche games ive played in the jam, though it has a lot of potential considering those minor issues, id say a job well done!
Really appreciate the in-depth feedback!! Definitely will try to address some of these notes. Thank you!!
a very unusual visual
Dude I found the concept of the game incredible. The narrator adds so much to this game, I loved the concise and neat little tutorial at the start of the game; going into it I felt super confident about what I had to do. There were a few problems in my playthroughs though:
- No accessibility options (like changing sensitivity) were kind of upsetting for me, I honestly felt like the sensitivity was too high and there wasn't much I could do to change it; consider adding a pause menu on your next update!
- The second level (the one with the married couple) was way too difficult, I still can't get past it. I found the frog on painting, the fork, the other painting, but the last item was just impossible for me to find for whatever reason.
Overall, one of the jam's greatest games in my opinion. You should feel very proud of how this turned out and I'm excited to see this project move forward! Good luck with the jam, dude!
Appreciate you!! Accessibility and UI in general would def help a ton. For the second level, that one is definitely the hardest. For the last item, check the bedroom for the difference in photos. (spoiler: it's the flash drive in the computer that's missing). All I'll say is that it's in the only other location where a game is being played...
Super great game! First of all I love the voice acting. Very cool to see another person who added narration. Really great concep and execution! Great job!
hahaha thank you!! I loved doing the narration I feel like it adds so much more depth. Thanks!
I liked the concept about the spot the diference and the form it was executed. The narrator adds so much to the game. Initially, I got lost in the second phase and almost dropped the game, but the comments helped me figure out I was losing a detail and I came back to finish it.
Nice game, I hope you do well in the jam. Good Job!
Was it the fork? I've gotten mixed reviews on the placement of that. Glad you enjoyed!!
responding in his behalf. not really, the fork were the first thing we found, actually. What happened is that we thought we got everything from the second room, but we missed a thing, so we thought the game got stuck but that was more of a skill issue tbh, although a deviation counter might have been a good ideia
ahhh that makes sense! Great idea - there's no real indication that there's anything left. Especially since the first room only has 3, I can totally see the confusion after getting the 3rd in the 2nd room and being confused. Even just updating the voice lines to count down how many are left would help a ton. Thanks for the idea!
this is a pretty interesting concept, i like that it differs from games like exit 8 in that you don't only need to find wha'ts wrong, but you also need to find where that thing is, and honestly, it kinda blew my mind, especially in the second room, sadly i couldn't play the game as my pc weren't good enough :(, but i've watched a friend play for the whole game and it was pretty fun, even while watching as we would be discussing where the hell things went haha, great job!
Ah man I'm sorry I wasn't able to optimize it more in time!! Glad you were still able to enjoy it and I appreciate the feedback :)
Love the concept and adding (good!) voice acting adds a lot! It's also just very funny, the married couple's apartment is just so stupid (the frog/tortoise pictures lmao.) I just for the love of all that is holy couldn't find the fork in the second appartment but that's a problem with me not the game.
hahahaha thank you!! For the fork, let’s just say it’s hidden in a pretty SHITTY location👀
I swear I've looked there! :)
Lovely game!!! Super original concept!!
I really enjoyed this game! Got u 5 stars :DD
If you want, you can check my game too ;>
This was super interesting! Love the concept
