Very pretty and well crafted. Those pendulums kept wrecking me though. GJ

How does the game fit the theme?
You play as an Map Maker Mapping out a strange and uncharted area!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
most of the assets I did not make. I only made some part of the UI and edited some other existing assests. I did make the music at the start.
and I wrote all of the code. Some of it came from tutorials, but only a small amount.

fun little platformer, i love it, a small thing i didnt like is that if you jump while standing on a moving platform, the platform leaves you behind
The movement in this feels dialed in. Dash into wall jump into clean landing, it flows really well. That wall slide especially feels great; you really fined tuned the controller. Those checkpoints though, twice I touched one and immediately ate it right after lol. Almost felt like you knew exactly where we'd fail. That kind of placement shows you thoroughly tested it.
The red plants were nice to find too. They're off the beaten path and encourage exploration. It made the world feel a little more intentional instead of just a straight path forward. UI stays quiet until it's needed, which I respect, and the little hover/click sounds are super satisfying.
With more time I could definitely sink into this more. I'm a sucker for a good agile platformer and this has that foundation down.
Very nice, really enjoyed the wall jump animations and the character slowly sliding the wall. The difficulty and required precision ramp up pretty quickly, that might need a larger map to introduce the challenges more gradually so that issue may be beyond the scope of a 1 week jam. Also really missing some music or ambience to accompany me on the journey.
Super difficult precision platformer. I managed well and got to the end! I liked the map filling mechanic opposed to just getting to the end. Might be very difficult to some, but I see that is what you were going for. Good job! :D
Yes there may be a hidden area under the path of regret ( under the path with the two floating objects and pendulum between) its the hardest path in my opinion. The ending you got is still very good. Good job I'm very happy to hear you did this well!
But also I specifically made it so it would look complete even if its not. So it may be a different area you didn't discover? Not sure, but good job!
Very cool game! Super hard though, I wish I could jump more!
Very interesting twist on a platformer. Explicitly asking me to find every different part of the map as the explicitly goal was cool, and worked very well. There were many places that it seemed dying was required to know if there was a map secret or not. It almost felt a bit souls-like to jump and hope there was something to catch me underneath. I bet with some polish, that frustration could lead to motivation to explore everything!
There are probably several ways to address it, but as some examples:
- the death sequence is a bit plain. a death anim/sound, plus something to make the DEAD screen feel a bit more connected to the player (slow fade in, could even have a quip/commentary on how the player died)
- could just make it really fast, and respawn right where before you died, so it doesn't feel bad at all
- make things like spikes have more clear hitboxes, maybe make them player-favored so you can graze them without dying
- could have a "look up/down" option so you can look before you leap
these are some great points, thank you! I agree about the spikes I didn't make them the best way because of time and same thing with the death part and look up / down but I think this is very doable
I might decide to continue this game after the jam, and I'll do all of these, thank you for the feedback!
Very good movement actually, feels nice. Level little bit hard for me (that part where two floatin spikes and axe between), but i am bad too xD
Well done!

There were some parts where i wished the camera would show me where I could land on instead of a blind jump. Overall, fun game.
