Liking this so far. Sadly can't get past the hotel gate; I put the battery in, but pulling down the lever doesn't work. Maybe it expected me to pull the lever right after I put the battery in, but the way my brain works, I decided to go try gifting the voucher to the couple returning back. Or it's just a bug with my Mac demo version.

Try making a new game and see if it happens again.  the actual demo ends not long after that, however, so if you get the vibe, great.
