Audio based stuff is typically a no from me, that level of association conflicts with my weird sexuality. But seeing the comments here I decided to give it a shot. Still made me uncomfortable like other works in a similar medium, but I was very impressed by the writing. Took me a while to realize the sounds were typing, but once I did the vibe in my head instantly changed. The constant innuendos are a lot of fun.
pretty cool and unusual idea, and great timing and animations for the text!
This was... extremely well-written. It's a minimalist approach with a subtle core context. Iwas fully engaged thorough the entire thing.
Not much else to say; I just like this one.
a work of sublime genius. rarely does the audio take such center stage, or the lack of illustration be so important. until the end i wasn't even sure if we were actually fucking or not. and the typography was pleasantly playful (but not too much, i mean, this is a workplace).
i've never heard of "a retro" in my goddamn life and as far as im concerned that only refers to a video game made with sprite graphics
They do call it a retro, and I can already hear the highly-paid consultant explain how that's not the same thing as a post-mortem at all.
This is really clever! It made me smile the whole way through. The animations keep things interesting, which is really important for a text-only experience, and you nailed it.
This was so cool and so creative! Loved how you used the keyboard sounds
This was a real delight! I'm really impressed by how complete it feels while being so visually minimalist and not having any music; the audio ambience is expert level! When the deadline got moved up I laughed out loud. Also drooling over the dynamically resizing dialogue bubbles, really super cool touch that adds so much texture to the experience. I have to admit I was surprised that it felt as hot as it did, and then just as surprised that it got so sweet at the end. Really excellent all around, I loved it!
I really loved this! The double entendre of the setup is so delightful; I definitely had a few moments of “Wait- wait-”. The minimal presentation really plays to the fiction’s strengths, and the typing was SO good. And the story! Super cute, with a genuine loving sweetness at the end - I wasn’t expecting it to end on such a feel-good note with the warnings at the beginning, but I got my warm and fuzzies from it all the same.
This really feels like a complete, polished project!
This is a really fun fiction, the sound design is great. really excellent minimal style choices
I like the presentation, the expanding speech bubbles and highlighting choices are neat! I also enjoyed the audio ambiance. It must have taken some effort to get the typing sounds to match the implied actions so well! The story is just the right length for teasing players and is well paced with bite-sized messages.
Extremely fun to play.
I somehow missed the quewe and was thinking they were actually banging.
It was extremely funny when I found the truth...
Good job!
This was so funny. I didn't expect to burst out laughing, but when the typing got more intense, I did.
I really liked the sound design. When I first heard the typing, I didn't interpret it as typing at all, not until it got a little more intense and I figured out what was happening. I think that intentional misdirection is really smart. I love how you made typing sound like something else, specially when you get to send the "deliverable".
I really liked the writing. The lack of graphics was a total advantage here. It not only allowed me to fill in the gaps with my own imagination, but that play with the ambiguity of what's really going on was only possible with just text and sound.
So I actually held onto the text file I had open while recording all the typing sounds! Here's a short excerpt:
(it goes on like this for a WHILE)
That's an invaluable document! You could print it and frame it! It would certainly start interesting conversations lol
For a second I thought the game had broke when no graphics appeared. But, that was really novel experience. Absolutely the winner of the stealth category so far. The usage of the keyboard sound effects and innuendo was very good. Solid font choice for providing a nice reading experience and setting the appropriate business causal mood.
That's exactly what I was going for with the font choice! In fact, I specifically chose this font, Testuale, because of how similar it is to Times New Roman (of course), with the hopes of subtly evoking that classic office feel.
Nice corporation ASMR sample. Very funny and a nice twist of expectations. I wish my old workplace meetings were this fun to listen xD
This was not what I was expecting, but it was really funny, I am pleasantly surprised.
This is so peak wth, it was extremelly entertaining.
