Theme Interpretation
This game is heavily inspired by the video game, Journey. The Friends system functions very similarly to how Journey handles jumping. Like how in Journey, you can find more magical charges that give you more jumps, so too can you find Friends in Season's Greetings to give you more jumps.

i love how cute the game was, but when I reached Winter I respawned  and maybe I moved to quick but it bugged and I was stuck under the snow

Cute game, the little bird is great and the death sound makes me feel so bad when I died.  Some nice ideas to have the friends help you in different ways, would be interesting to see if you could combine them in future more complex levels (like choose to "use" a friend to get rid of an enemy vs. double jump right over the top of them.  Pretty sad ending though.

thanks for the suggestions! glad the game could stir some feelings. when we expand this into a full game, we want it to be a very emotional experience.

I also was not able to get past the three high wall, but I did like the idea and the plump bird was awesome! Good stuff. Hope to see an update to help him get over that wall haha

sadly this isn't the first game i made where a problem like this was reported, but i've never been able to figure it out. we may have some things to learn about optimizing for other computers.

Might just be me, but I can't get over the three high wall after collecting all three starting resources? Is there more than a triple space bar press required to do so? I do like the concept though!

you are supposed to be able to jump over the high wall after you collect all resources. i playtested it right after publishing it and i was able to do it. it may be an optimization problem that makes the jump height work properly on some computers but not others. this isn't even the first game i made where a problem like this was reported, but i've never been able to figure it out.

Nice original idea! The mechanic of having this resource that controls how you can move, and unlocks other aspects is a really cool idea that is really well utilized here! The art and sound are a little bit jarring, but overall this was a pretty fun one to play!
