Great use of the constraint! I think this would make a fantastic mobile game if you wanted to take it further.

I love how you interpeted the stuck in a loop mechanic and the games really fun. I don't think i can fully comment on the poslished mechanincs since I didn't beat it but from what I played it was pretty good, not to mention since it's so simple it's very cohesive. I guess the downsides are the fact that it doesn't really look like an snes game and there weren't that many sounds, but overall its a very good and fun game!

we wanted to make all the rotations pixel perfect but couldnt figure out how thanks for the feedback!

Oh that's a great interpretation of the stuck in the loop constraint. I like the idea. It's fun to play, but it's also really hard. At least for me. 😅 I don't know how often I smashed one of the two against a wall.

Well done.

Developer

thanks for the feedvack in the future we will make the first couple levels easier since more than one of u guys think its too hard

I sucked at it but had a really fun time just messing around with the mechanics

Positives:

+clever implementation of being stuck in a loop! Using your partner as a weapon and mechanic was really neat.

+music was fun and goofy

+I liked the artstyle and it looked like it could fit SNES

Suggestions:

>an easier starting area with more room to mess with the loop between the prisoners. Probably just a skill issue on my end

>More sound effects for destroying drones and getting hit

Overall:

Insanely clever and well designed mechanic! Hitting enemies with enough speed felt really good!

thank you so much! sadly i accidently deleted the player script without realizing and pushed it on GitHub so i had to re write the whole thing lol don't think my partner was happy about that and it's also why we didn't add sound effects or a good title screen cuz we ran out of time

Been there with GitHub before. I'm sorry it caused problems. I still think what your team made is impressive

Developer

thank you

also we didnt have a composer so i made the music in the only music program i know "chrome music lab!" lol

Cool mechanic and clever take on the theme. Movement took a bit of time to get used to, and some sections did feel quite punishing, but I really enjoyed the concept here.
